Monday morning...back to the grind

Wow! My first weekend since we've come back from summer vacation FLEW by! I'm really looking foward to a weekend when we DON'T have plans, so we can just chill, relax and enjoy our back yard or go for a hike or something. I really don't care for the hurry-up-and-go weekends we usually have.

On the plus side, those kinds of weekends don't tend to allow me to graze and I'm down another pound. :~) Since I've been blogging and tracking my food, I've lost like 9 pounds in less than three weeks. Thank you, SparkPeople!!!

Time to run...always running late...another goal to add to the list of many...get up earlier to have more time for blogging and such!

Usually the heat doesn't get to me. But the humidity today has been terrible. I did a lot of weeding in my gardens in the heat and didn't hydrate well. I've got a terrible headache now and weighed myself to find that I've lost a pound since this morning. I know it's all from getting a bit dehydrated. And will come back on once I get enough water in me.

I have a very busy day tomorrow and probably won't be able to get on and blog or track my food/weight. Maybe I will...we'll see what time I get home.

I'm pooped and need to go rehydrate. More next time.


Running late...

I have a feeling that will be my entry title often. I have a habit of perpetually running late. I always think things will take less time than they actually do. So I don't have much time to blog today.

I played kickball for an hour and a half yesterday...wow did I feel it this morning! I'm sore all over!

Food plan is going well since returning to work...but not exercising as much as I had been...I have to get into a routine to fit everything in!

Work in progress...must go to work now!


I don't like that we have to come up with blog entry titles!

I must admit, it's a bit daunting to come up with titles for every single blog entry...I don't often really know what I'm going to write, nor do I feel it needs to have a title. But it does not say (OPTIONAL), so I assume that means it won't post if I don't come up with one. :~)

Anyway, today I added a scoop of protein powder to my cereal, since my protein has been low lately. It didn't taste fabulous, but it wasn't horrid, either. It was half a portion, as 2 scoops constitutes a portion. I fear it WOULD have been horrid if I'd used a whole serving of it. I mistakenly got vanilla flavored. Wish I'd gotten regular, unflavored. Oh well...maybe next time.

I've hit another plateau, which doesn't surprise me...I dropped several pounds very quickly, so it stands to reason that I'd slow up for a bit. I'll keep tracking my food and exercise and it will come down again. Or I'll change things up a bit.

Have to run...it's time to face that place again...boy, I hope today is better than yesterday!


First day back with kids

Yesterday was the first day back to school for staff...we had a motivational speech and worked in our classroom. Today is the first day with students. And we have two new kids coming today. Yikes!

I didn't get a chance to record my food yesterday. Devon didn't get home from school until late. (He works in the dining hall until 9 PM on Tuesdays.) This only having one working computer (his laptop) is getting very difficult!

I'm planning to get lunches put together that I can pre-enter into favorites on the food tracker portion of this site...that would be quicker than trying to make a lunch, eat it, look up all the nutritional info and program it in. If I have several pre-recorded lunches ready to choose from, then whenever I have access to Devon's computer, I can just plug that info in. That's my plan, anyway. Life sometimes has a way of changing my plans!

I didn't get any real exercise in yesterday...I certainly can't count the climbing of the stairs at work, as I didn't even do a lot of that. We're on the second floor now, so there will be more stair climbing than when we were on the first floor, but not as much as when we were on the third floor, several years ago.

Guess that's it for now...I'm going to go make a cup of coffee and get my water bottle ready for work. (I drank and drank and drank yesterday!!! Way over my 8 8-oz glasses!) More next time.

    OHMYGOSH!!!! Today was so hard! I'm so proud of myself for not overeating!!!!! (What I usually do when I get stressed out.) The first day with kids was terrible. It included fist fights, kicking, and me getting covered in blood that was NOT mine. I was so tempted to eat my son's potato chips when I got home for lunch. I'm so proud of myself that I didn't do it. I don't know how, but I managed to not do it. And I'm so pleased now that it's nearly bedtime.

I pray that tomorrow will be better...or I'll be faced with wanting to overeat again!
