Several times this summer I've walked 5 miles or more in a day...but never all at once. Usually 2 or 3 in the morning and 2 in the evening. Today, however, I did 5 miles in 82 minutes. Roughly a 16 minute mile. I wasn't unhappy with this time, since I didn't feel like I was really pushing myself. I wanted to take it easy, since it was my first 5 mile morning. It was really fine. I can push a little harder next time. And maybe try running a little? (I don't know...it's a pretty populated area...hate the idea of running in front of anyone.)
I am finishing up Day # 2 on this new sugar-free regime. Just plugged all my food in and found that I was under for calories, but okay for fats and protein. Will have to work harder at getting enough calories in. I know that can stall weight loss, too.
