...but I keep coming back! I get points for that, right?!

Anyway, I had surgery on Tuesday. Minor surgery. And will be having more in 3-5 months. "Womanly issues". I've been dealing with them for years. But I'm feeling good and will soon be cleared for exercising again. (We got Wii Fit and I love it!)

I'm going to try to be more vigilant about checking in here!

I've not be on here in a long while...but that's because I've been so busy! And active...we got a Wii and we got the AE Sports fitness CD. I really like it, although I don't really know how to use all the features on it yet.

I'm on summer vacation now, so I'm hoping once I settle into a routine, I'll be on SP more often. Hope everyone is well!

I decided last evening, after dinner, that Darryl and I should take ALL THREE dogs with us on our walk! I took the two little ones and he took the big one. Since he only had one leash to contend with, he also got poop-pick-up duty. (Hmmm...fair trade off?!) I do believe we provided comic relief to every person we came into contact with. The little ones really don't understand how to walk side by side, always trying to pass the other, criss-crossing over and making me constantly have to switch up the handles on the leashes.

It was a good, long walk and I'm sure I burned more calories than Darryl did, with all my acrobatics, trying to keep the leashes straight! I hope he's up for round two tonight!

    Just this weekend I learned how hard that can be! Two little dogs arrived at the shelter I volunteer at who have been together for 9 years, so they will be adopted out together as well... I decided to walk them together. Acrobatics indeed! It certainly was comical. Sounds like you guys had fun though and even better that he was on poop duty :-)

The OCD in me LOVES when a new month begins on a Monday!

I'm all about new beginnings. And "starting over" on a Monday when it's also a new month...the best! So I'm all over this today!

The last few weeks I've been keeping myself very busy doing projects around the house and moving a friend and rearranging and such...sweaty, aerobic, albeit not pretty or fun, exercise. The scale was slowly moving downward, which is awesome. But then, of course, PMS rears its ugly head and I'm up a couple pounds. My ring is tight. I'm bloated. My face broke out. I know what it is. And because it's a Monday, new month, new beginning, I'm not freaking out about it. I made a lovely low cal, high protein breakfast and I'm planning when I'll fit my brisk walk into today's busy schedule, and which furry four-legged to take. I'm thinking about a healthy tossed salad (made from all local stuff from the farmers' market) for lunch and what healthy dinner we can have tonight. I'm going to stay off the scale until "after", to avoid feelings of defeat.

I'm in a wedding in September and now is the perfect time to start working toward looking good in that wedding!

How's that for CHOOSING to be cheerful?! I am! PMS can't get me down!

    Focus on that wedding date and keep doing awesome. That scale will keep going down and you can dance the night away in celebration :-) I had too much salt yesterday and also could barely get my rings on this morning. I hate that! But good idea to not pay attention until "after" and then continue to revel in your successes! I'll be right here reveling with you!! ;-)

    I also understand your OCD. I have it too! New month new beginning! School must be out for summer now? Enjoy the beautiful day. I have found for myself I see more progress in my weight loss by doing normal everyday busy activities. emoticon

Busy, busy, busy!

Our four-day weekend was SUPER busy!!!! Although I didn't go out exercising, I worked my butt off! We cleaned out the garage and basement on Friday (repeated heavy lifting, repeated stair-climbing with heavy objects). Saturday we moved a friend (again, repeated heavy lifting, carrying, climbing the moving truck ramp...and then upon arriving, doing it all in reverse!). Sunday we planted our veggies and herbs and built another raised bed (which we still need to fill). Yesterday we went to the parade, came home and raked and bagged FIFTEEN BAGS of leaves from the back of our back yard. (We have an oak tree back there that holds its leaves until after the first or second or third snowfall, so no matter how many bags of leaves we rake in the fall, we have a lot to rake in the spring, too!) I also cleaned, swept, rearranged the back porch and set up a potting bench. I'm ready for a vacation from my vacation! Phew!

    I am exhausted just reading about your weekend! I would say you got a lot of exercise! We put in our garden too. All that is left to plant is the beets,spinach and Swiss chard. emoticon
