hiking trip is back on...

Friday, October 19, 2007

Although I'm glad the hiking trip is back on, I can't stand the back and forth we're going, we're not going thing...Darryl's principal is planning this trip and it's been a bit chaotic all along. I told Darryl if there are any more changes, to just tell them we've made other plans.

I'm up 2 pounds...but I'm also craving junk food, my breasts are tender and I have four pimples...so I'm guessing I'm getting the second period of October. I mean, it's been about a week and a half since my last one...I MUST be about due again, right?!

Work is a continued Hell...At first I wasn't really wanting to get the job at DSS...was, in fact, hoping I wouldn't even get a call for an interview...but now, I'm really hoping it all works out. I really need to get out of this unhealthy environment!

Today is a staff development day...no kids...we're doing a service learning workshop and then all afternoon will be a workshop on how to properly lift, so as not to hurt our backs. *yawn*

Well, I've got to finish up my breakfast and take my vitamins and be ready for my ride to the high school.

quick lunchtime blog...

Thursday, October 18, 2007

I'm home for lunch and only have a few more minutes before I have to be back, so this will be a fast one. I've taken to playing "Four Square" with the kids at recess and at the after school program...it's fun and it's exercise...and now they think I'm cool, too!!!

Conference Day tomorrow, so no students. Phew! And our hiking trip got changed to a weekend I can't go. Maybe I can talk Darryl into going to Glimmerglass Lake or Gilbert Lake to go for a little hike.

Anyway, have to get back to work. :~(

Wednesday morning...amost over the hump!

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

Last night was the UCCCA film...it was a Japanese Anime, which I don't really care for. This one wasn't bad. I think Devon would have liked it.

I finally got new batteries for the scale, but discovered Darryl had installed them AFTER I ate and got dressed...I know, I know...I could have weighed myself, but I have a routine...before breakfast, no clothes. I have to keep to that routine!

Saturday we're going to Buck Mountain, hiking...with the principal and his wife from Darryl's work. I'm a bit nervous and afraid I won't be able to keep up! I hope I can. I may have lost a significant amount of weight, but that doesn't mean I'm in good shape!

Well, DSS should receive my application today...I'm nervous. I'm not sure I even want this job, but I'm still nervous!

Must close...time for work. :~(

On track

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

I went to the on-track program last night...the coordinator left to get married and moved downstate, so we have been without since August. The PA filling in for her said they've hired someone who will be starting soon.

I really enjoy going, once I'm there...the thought of driving out there after a long day at work is NOT inviting, but I'm always glad I went when all is said and done. I know I need to kick up the exercise, once I heard what everyone else is doing for exercise. My measly walking around town every few days just isn't going to get me to my goal...last night was the shot in the arm...or more to the point, kick in the ass, that I needed!

Must go cut my nails before work...can't even type well with them this long!

Quick Monday morning blog...

Monday, October 15, 2007

I sent out an application for a complete career change! Yikes! Things have been VERY rough this year at work. My mother called me and told me about a job opening at the county office building and I sent out my application. This doesn't mean I'll even get it, since I have NO experience in this field. But at least I've now got a current resume and am ready for the next opportunity.

Still no batteries for the scale. :~( I did get on the ancient old, rusty spin dial scale and it appeared that perhaps I'd lost a few pounds, which my clothes seem to agree with, but I'm not recording anything until I get new batteries and get back to my digital scale that is very clear and concise!

I also had several people over the weekend tell me that they thought I was losing again. Yay! I MUST get new batteries soon!

Tonight is the support group meeting for RNY patients. I haven't gone since like July, so it will be good to go again.

Must go to work. :~(
