One weekend soon I'm going to make NO plans...not answer the phone and just stay home! Soon! I mean it!
Anyway, the batteries in the digital scale are finally completely dead. After like a year of it flashing "LO" before it would go to zero so I could step on, it now only flashes "LO" and won't give a weight. :( I need to break down and buy some new batteries!

I'm healthy again...it was a one-day bug. It really knocked me on my @$$, but I'm going back to work today.
I really babied myself yesterday...got back in bed and stayed there until dinner and then went back shortly after dinner. I drank a lot of water and tea and just rested. Of course my weight is down, but that's because I had only one meal yesterday. I know that's not a healthy way to lose.
I'm taking a friend to New Paltz tomorrow. We'll probably have dinner there. Or I'll grab something before returning. It's not a bad ride down...kind of pretty country, especially when the leaves are turning colors. I just hope it doesn't rain the whole way...that makes it more stressful.
Kate would like to transfer to SUNY New Paltz by her junior year in college, for the art education program. I think she'll really like it there. It's a beautiful campus.
It's nearly time for work...must go make up my coffee mug and get an umbrella...more soon!

Yesterday afternoon I was reading without my reading glasses and shortly after that I got a headache...I assumed it was because I had read too much without them. But the headache stuck with me. I slept poorly last night and felt kind of lousy this morning. I assumed it was because I'd slept so bad. But about 10 minutes before I left for work, I had a wave of nausea hit me. I figured it wouldn't last and I went to work...well, it did last and I ended up coming right back home. I'm still having waves and feeling shaky and weak. I'm now thinking the headache yesterday was part of this bug and not from reading.
So I'm in bed now, with the laptop, a cup of tea and a book. I'm just going to take it easy today. I hope it doesn't last long.

Okay...the internet is back. My alarm is working again. I'm eating foods that are easily tracked. I'm feeling back on track again. All the food I had yesterday was stuff I'd bought prepared on-site so there was no nutritional labels to post. They were all healthy, organic foods, and I eat healthy portions, but I was unable to determine just how many calories or grams of fat/protein and such. I had tabouli, curried tofu salad, a lentil and feta salad, wheat-free thai peanut noodles and an incredible soup (a pureed butternut squash and sundried cranberries soup) that Darryl made. It was so delicious. I'm going to have him write down everything he put in it, so I can figure up the nutritional info and post it online. It was so good!
So anyway, I'm back with foods that are easier to record. I had 2 slices of toast with my cereal this morning, which I should NOT have had. That really drove my calories up. The cereal was more than enough. I just saw the loaf of bread...oat nut, my favorite, and grew weak with temptation!
I'm running late...as usual...have to close and finish getting ready for work. It's Wednesday...almost over the hump and moving toward another weekend!

We have our internet back...however, I forgot to set my alarm last night, so I'm late...very quickly: I had a mammogram yesterday...my second one ever, first one after 40. It hurt more than I remembered but then later in the day, I got my period, so that explains it. Yes, my period did just end 8 days ago! Ridiculous! (That being said, despite having my period, I'm down a tiny bit...so if I ever STOP menstruating and get a true weight, I may find that I've actually lost a couple of pounds!)
I joined a co-op grocery store in Ithaca. Green Star is the name of it. I love going there. And they have a prepared food section that is wonderful. Little tables and chairs, so you can have an inexpensive meal there, too. We didn't eat there last night. We tried a Mexican place that was quite tasty.
Okay, I really do have to run now. Am very late.
