I love Fridays... that's the problem!

I've done pretty okay the past week, although I'm still getting into the swing of watching what I eat. Just writing everything down has been a big help, although yesterday was really rough as I was interviewing people all day and hardly had a chance to eat, on top of missing breakfast because I was running late in the morning.

But Fridays can be really tough, as I have a standing thing with a few friends to hang out, and usually play video games (yes, I'm a geek, I know). The irony is that one of those friends, A, has been a HUGE help in keeping me active, but she also does things like feed me fast food and frozen pizza when we meet up at her place. I just have to keep reminding myself that one piece of pizza doesn't ruin my life OR my goals.

So, here's what I resolve: I can eat some junk food tonight, but not a full meal of it; I'll make sure that I eat before I join everybody else.

Confession: I love dance classes, but can only really afford one a week. That leaves me with workout videos for the rest of the time, as I have a mental block about exercising in public. I secretly quite like workout videos, despite how dorky they make me feel... at least I can do them all on my own :D

I do feel really bad for the neighbors below me though. It must sound like a herd of elephants above their living room!

Well, I first signed up for this site about two years ago, when I was still in college, after gaining a lot of weight my freshman and sophomore years. Since then, I've yo-yoed a bit; I would routinely gain at school and drop some (but not all) of the weight over summer vacations. Now I'm all grown up and on my own, so I've decided to restart my weight loss goals all over again, this time making a real effort to participate in the community. I'm also going to take it a bit slower, starting with just tracking my current eating habits and going to my bellydance class once a week, and taking a walk/doing some other cardio on the days I don't work. Here goes nothing! :D d

    Good luck. Using the nutrition tracker to log everything I eat has really helped me stay on track after years of similar yoyoing and realizing that I'd ended up at a weight far above where I started. But now, thanks to using this website, I'm seeing a weekly drop and changing my habits.
