Okay, where are we all meeting up for the Christmas party this
year, and who among us is bringing the punch???? LOL
Just a note to my friends, I seriously wish we could all get together
somewhere....I have a super recipe for a hot punch my daughter makes
for me when we go up there for the holidays. Love it....
We could just all bring a dish and have a potluck????? Anybody wanna
come???? I am laughing here, because we have people from all over the
USA and England and Canada who are friends and I know we could just
have a ball..........
Well, enough daydreaming....we are having a Christmas potluck at the
Cowboy Church Christmas Eve, gonna sing carols, eat, and fellowship and
still be home by 630 for family times.
This morning we had a pancake breakfast, with sausage, hash brown casserole,
and scrambled eggs, milk, chocolate milk, OJ, tea and coffee and several ladies
brought home made cookies, which looked good but I passed on.....The bldg.
was full and we had so much fun..........
Wish ya'll could have been there............
Wish we were close enough to visit....this is what troubles me during the holidays
is being so far away from everyone.....(just in case ya'll wondered)
Merry Christmas to all ya'll,

For those of you who want to see some of the wedding pictures,
I posted them today. I am going to have to go thru and delete
some of my older pics if I put anymore on, so we shall see how
it goes. I hope to post some more that were taken outside so
you can see the fabulous view from the front porch.
The house was built in 1855, and it even has a widows walk up on
the roof. Most of the windows have stained glass in them. It is a
fabulous place for a wedding.
I am off to finish addressing my Christmas cards...hope you enjoy

Yesterday, November 11th, 2010, was Veterans Day.
I wonder if everyone has sat down and thought about the sacrifices our military
has made in the past and today? I think for the most part, people appreciate
their sacrifices, otherwise I would not be here and able to speak.
I just wanted to tell you about this example. My husband, as many of you know is
a combat veteran, a Green Beret', and let me tell you, when he applied to become a
Green Beret', the training was so rough, only 3 men out of 100 made it through to win
their exclusive membership.
He is very proud of being a veteran. I am proud of him. He went through 3 tours in
Vietnam, and he volunteered for all 3. He was in 21 years.
Davids' father commanded a ship. He was in WWII, Korean War, Vietnam, and several
other conflicts that came up. He was in 27 years. I could go back several generations
and they all served their country.
Yesterday, I took him to lunch .... there were 4 young people at the table next to us.
When they left, ONE, came over to David and said: Sir, I want to thank you for your
service. ONE. David was wearing his miltary cap...that identified him as a Vietnam vet.
I saw a WWII veteran leaving as we were seated, and went after him to thank him for
his service. He told me " I volunteered you know, I was not drafted" and I said my
husband did also.
It meant so much to this elderly gentleman, that someone cared. It meant so much to
my husband because that young man, cared enough to come and tell him.
I guess my point is this: YOU do not have to wait til Veterans' Day, or Memorial Day,
or whatever, to tell someone THANK YOU for your MILITARY SERVICE. We are losing
our WWII vets at an alarming rate, so when you are in Walmart or the grocery store, or
a restaurant, and you see someone wearing their cap with whatever war they served in,

Thanks to all of you who prayed after getting my SOS.....I am much better and
actually am having no pain in the lower back at all, so I am grateful for each of
you who prayed and asked God to remove the pain.
I don't think anything can be done for the back problems, except when it does flare
up, which is why I am so GRATEFUL to each of you for your PRAYERS. I believe they
reached the Father, and He listened..............
I went for a Bone scan yesterday, ordered by my Rheumatologist. I am awaiting
results from that, and while he did mention possible medications, I am going to
refuse any more meds, due to the kidneys being in distress and only working at a
I will be writing each of you personally, but we have to go get a haircut so we do not
show up at the wedding looking a bit shaggy................lol..............I am really looking
forward to this, as my sons' fiancee is just such a sweetheart. That is another prayer
that has been answered.
While I have you here, please, may I ask for another favor????? I know some of you know
Michelle(SteelKickin) who has Lupus, and is in the midst of a flareup which is causing her
a great deal of pain, AND my friend Robyn whom I have know since she was 12, is
expecting a little one in February, and she is having problems with cramping and I would
so much appreciate all of you praying for both of these. GOD lives and GOD is a miracle
Thanks to you, straight from my heart for my prayers and prayers for these 2.
Anytime you need prayer, please don't hesitate to buzz me......
Hugs and Blessings to each one of you,
