Re: my blog on bungee jumping

Saturday, September 04, 2010

I don't mind someone else bungee jumping, AUDREY, but I knows my limits.
Like ole Clint Eastwood said, a man(woman)has to know their limits....my limit
is keeping both feet on or as close to the ground as is possible.

This is no way affects my love/need for speed now...........and I would personally
love to jump in the nearest F-18 fighter jet and take'r for a spin.........
I have driven my sons' TransAm Firebird at 160 mph (after which he took my set
of keys) raced another Camaro up the road in front of the sheriffs' dept. and did a
180 in the middle of the street and parallel parked(no we didn't get caught) and
that is the last time my son let me drive his cars.......................
What do you suppose his problem is????????????????????????????????????????

It goes without saying, I love my Harley and yes it goes fast.....however I am trying
to reform..................and probably by the time I am 95 or so, I won't want to ride
horses at breakneck speed across fields either.....................

Michelle are you listening???? David does try to restrain me now and then for my
own safety I suppose..........there are some things even I won't do and BUNGEE JUMPING,
HANG GLIDING, AND PARACHUTING are 3 of those, also playing with Cobra's, and gators'
and sharks..................David has done most of the above, the last three while he was in
Vietnam and he said it was no fun at all.........

Have a great weekend to all ya'll, GOD BLESS AMERICA,

My, my, my...and I thought I liked to go fast! If we ever get to ride together you'll have to take pity on me and slow down. No bungee jumping for me either, but I have considered jumping out of a plane. I just figure when I was up there and looked out I would change my mind so no need to try it. I have already calmed down, except when we rode our bikes around the track in Charlotte this year. I think I pushed mine to the limit, when she started to vibrate I decided I should slow down. Not even sure how fast I was going cause I didn't want to move my eyes down. I did see the speedometer at 85 mph before I decided I didn't want to move my eyes off the track and other bikes! They let 40 of us at a time on the track and then just let us go!! It was wild.

Now I see where I get my need for speed from! I knew it all along! Bungee jumping, eh? Hmmm...and 180s?? Ah, and our Harley's ARE fast, Momma. Who are WE to not allow them to do their thang?

So DH lit up your tail like a Christmas tree so he can see you through clouds of rubber you leave behind?

I'm with you all along the way, although I've never driven / ridden over an indicated 140 probably closer to 110 - Highway 101 in the Mountain View area. On a 1976 Moto Guzzi LeMans way back BC (before Children) The VW bug next to me finally decided to shift out of 2nd (beep beep, beep beep) and leave me behind, I think the bug had been tweaked a bit.

As for jumping out of a perfectly good plane, I don't think so.

If you crave near death experiences I recommend attempting to drive in a safe and reasonable manner on GA 400 from 30 - 10 minutes before Sunday morning services, when your neighbors abandon any pretense at good will to all men in their headlong dash to worship.

Don't believe me, try it some day. I avoid GA 400 like the plague before 2:00PM on Sundays.

Take care Mrs Dale Jr.

LOL! Oh, we are soo much alike, Momma! I love those answers. They are funny, poignant and so honest. Looks like we both have a problem with being leadfooted and we both love our CCR. And my heart goes out to you on the loss of those beautiful brothers. Not a day doesn't go by that I don't think about mine. He was too young, too. But I'm sure you take comfort in knowing that they are waiting for us on the other side.

And I am pretty sure there are Harley's in heaven. Where the gas tank is ALWAYS full.

I have decided to say thank you to each of you, all ya'll know who you are.
During the time I have been on Spark I have made so many friends and met so
many people who are a blessing, BOTH to me and to many others by their
positive attitude and good examples they set.

Sometimes, when I open up my sparkmail and see a comment, I just have to stop
and think how blessed I am. When I first got to Alabama, I knew not a soul here,
besides my husband. (We will discount my MIL & SIL) LOL

You all have been a lifeline for me, and I feel I have made friends that will last for
a lifetime.

This is MY story, and I am STICKING to it.

All ya'll know who you are.
Love n Hugs to each,

Thank God for the internet and Spark, it'll help us if we diligently use it. One of the many things I like about it is the ability to leave a note of encouragement on each others pages. I also love to give goodies to my friends.
In my circle of friends here in my town, no one even comes close to understanding or doing anything about their weight, so all my support (too) comes from my Spark friends. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
