Hello everyone who reads my blog....LOL
I have a question.....does anyone know of anyplace you can still find those(oldfashioned)
cassette players??????????????????? Like a walkman or something???? I have a ton of
cassettes that I would love to listen to, on my little jaunts around the neighborhood,
and I looked at Walmart with no success. Mine broke and I can't seem to find one to
replace it with....
Before anyone says Ipod, I don't know how they work, nor do I know how you would
transfer cassette music to an ipod. I know there has to be someway of using the cassettes
so if anyone has a suggestion, SING OUT...........
Off to try to get my walk in before I get busy on other things.....

Well, whatdya know..........it is 82 degrees here in Alabama. Gee, what a lovely
day. I wish we could go back up to the Little River Canyon and get some more
pictures. The leaves have finally turned in the past week to some beautiful Fall
hues.........would be a splendiferous day to take the bikes out. However, that is
not to be ....
This week has been a difficult one, diet wise. I am not happy with my non-progress
but, I am stubborn as heck, so I am not giving up, but going forward. Seems like my
emotions have tripped me up more than anything. However, I am not accepting any
excuses from me...................LOL............onward

Today she seems to be a little better but her back legs are still have a wee
bit of trouble. We think it is the medicine, and we did lower her dose because
David thinks someone made an error...the vet said 1 gram per pound per dose,
and the script was for twice that....anyway, she has stumbled a few times going
up and down the 3 steps on the porch, so we go ahead and support her. She does
realize her legs are not as steady as they were. I can see the look in her eyes, and
it is almost as if she is asking why????? I told her she is fine, she is adjusting to her
medicine.........(LOL- I swear she knows what I am saying)
Anway, she is thrilled because I wrap her pills in either a bit of cheese or a dab of
turkey lunchmeat, and since she bolts her food/ usually no chewing involved the pills
are no problem. If I eat toast, you can bet both dogs are lined up in front wanting
their fair share which would be 95 % of anything I am eating.....does not always work
in their favor, but for the most part they come out with a few bites.
She is ten now, her parent cat is 12 or 13, and Davids' dog is 9. The tom-cat took care
of her and mothered her when my son got her at an auction for Toys for Tots..she was
only 4 weeks when we got her. The cat cleaned her, and still does wash her face,
even taught her to eat from a bowl........and yes, they truly adore one another.
This is the latest, and Sammie does appreciate all the messages from her online friends,
prayer partners, and other fur family members.
Blessings on ya'll for caring and supporting my emotional self,,,,

She went in for her bloodwork this morning, did not appreciate being carried off
from us. The bloodwork showed a little bit of irregularity with her liver, so the
vet put her on two meds, one for the liver and one for keeping her calm. They
are starting out midway on the calm pill, and may have to reduce it if she gets to
She is acting like her old self,...........she did eat her supper last night and held it,
and is also
drinking more water, and has had her first dose of liver pill and the other will
follow soon. She ate her food like she was starving when we came home....(she
always thinks she is starving) This little dog would put a Great Dane to shame on
the eat like a glutton thing....................she is a piglet.
I just wanted everyone to know we appreciate the notes and good thoughts ....

My little Pom began having seizures yesterday afternoon. She hasn't been able to
hold food down and very tiny amount of water.
So we called the vet this morning and he met us at the shop, and he gave her a couple
of injections of sedatives to try and break the seizure groupings up. She ate a little
amt. of a hamburger when she got home, and has drank a small amount of water, and
still has had a minor attempt at seizure. We have to take her back at 430 today for
more shots and then tomorrow she has to go in for bloodwork.
There was very little catnaps for me last night for watching her, and she had two more
during the night, one was worse and it is heartbreaking to watch the total panic in her
eyes when she can't get her legs to work right. I pick her up and wrap her lightly in a
big bathtowel and stroke her and talk to her. There is abject terror in her eyes......
we also have been carrying her up n down the steps to go out side. The more she sleeps
the less seizures......
So I am not going to be online much til we can get this lined out. My arm is killing me
from holding her for so long, but that is the only comfort she has, so be it.
She is catching a nap right now and so I am off here. I am thankful David is helping me, if
I have to do something he watches her and picks her up if need be....
So ya'll will know where I am ..........
