Figuring Out Stuff

Monday, May 20, 2013

Hi everyone!

I have been busy, busy, busy the last three months and a lot of things have happened. For instance, my wonderful boyfriend of almost four years walked out and quit his job. (finally!! :)) I got a promotion for the following school year so that's exciting but also a huge motivator to get myself healthy. Which it HAS to happen. I am so glad it is almost summer vacation for me and my new summer job has a bit more flexible hours so I have no excuse to not workout and focus on myself before going to work in the afternoon. I already wrote down my small goals and have a plan in mind. My huge goal is coming in faster than I anticipated so I need to start getting my butt in gear!!!

I must say I am so thankful for everything going on in my life and I just have to keep those positive thoughts! I WILL SUCCEED!!! I have about sixteen weeks to my goal date so we shall see where I end up then! It reminds me of something that I saw on Pinterest. I can't remember the exact saying or whatever but it goes something like,"Yesterday you said tomorrow" and there was another one that says don't give up and talks about the changes your body goes through in just a month!

I'll keep you all posted!!

Lots of love!

I Might Actually Like Running?! lol

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

Good morning everyone!

As some of you know I have been going to a group fitness class every Tuesday and Thursday, it's been hard but it also has been fun! I mentioned this before many, many times, I really do not like running. I really didn't like running as a kid and really don't like it now.... so I thought. For our class during the first half hour we do cardio which usually 99% of the time is running and my trainer times us. Every time I/we run he keeps track of our time and my last record for running a quarter mile was 3:12. Last night I did 3:00 which I am super proud of and I am looking forward to keep going faster! Well at the end of class, he talks about the Run Club he coordinates and mentioned how he wanted us to join. One of the girls from class comes to me and says," You should do it, I've been going and it's a lot of fun"
My old response would have been a combination of laughing, saying no, and walking away making some excuse. Not this time. I gave her a huge smile and answered, "Sure! It looks like fun!"
What?! Did I actually say that?! I went home and told my boyfriend about my time and the Run Club.

"Ya... you should do it. You seem to get happier everytime you tell me your time"

So it's settled I'm going to Run Club Sunday!

Wish me luck!!

Awesome. I was the same way. Hated running in high school but I love it now. Still getting into it but, like you, I love seeing the progress. Good luck with the club!

I Added My Trainer To My Friends List

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

I have been recently working in the building but needed a sub to cover me. The sub and I discovered we had a lot in common one of them being the fact we go to the same gym. This afternoon we were talking about what we planned on doing after work today and I mentioned my TEAM class. She was asking me who my trainer was and I had to go show her I picture on facebook. He wasn't on my friend's list before so after my sub left I decided to add him which instantly made me realize how much more accountably I put on myself. How many times have we said one thing to someone and then go on a social media site and do the opposite? By adding my trainer to my facebook is going to make me more aware of what I'm doing and have me think twice of my actions.

Yes, I am aware I can block what he sees but that is not being honest.

Anyway have a great day everyone!!
