Day 8 - Pinky Promise Completed

Wednesday, February 09, 2011

Well, emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon of the Pinky Promise is done.

It wasn't my best day, but it was a good day.

Here's how I did....

Workout- emoticon I walked a total of an hour to/from/around Lambeau Field and that was a fast walk! emoticon

Reading- emoticon 7 pages emoticon

Project- emoticon - Family Tree emoticon

Treats- emoticon emoticon-

Soda- emoticon NONE!! emoticon

I had a blast with my boys at Lambeau Field.... despite the cold! We were warm and having fun, but our hands did get cold... we even had hand warmers in our gloves. We got hot chocolate on the way out and that helped. We did a lot of walking and made it to our seats just in time. We sat in 8 degree weather for an hour and a half!! It was awesome!! 53 thousand fans!! It was AMAZING!! My boys were thrilled to see the players and hear them talk!!

I'm a little messed up in my schedule this week.... I have some workouts to make up for... but I'll do it.... I'm not giving up. I normally get frustrated, but I'm not going to let that happen.... I'm going to fit them in somewhere when I have extra time. I have been very tired this week, so the morning workouts haven't been happening. Sleep seems a bit more important these days. I don't have a lot planned this weekend, I'll catch back up then. emoticon i'm finding that sometimes you just have to go with what life hands you and figure a way to enjoy it while fitting in what you need to. I'm such a perfectionist... so that's hard.

So glad you enjoyed your day! Remember to get enough sleep as it can really affect how you react during the day. That can help avoid the munchies! HUGS!

Yeah Green Bay! and Yeah Marsha!. You are braver than I am; I don't do single digits. emoticon

I think you did great today, so give yourself some slack. Perfection is highly overrated; just keep on doing your best each day.

God bless,

Kathryn

Glad you had fun at Lambeau! I watched part of it from the comfort of my living room. Of course, there were the usual shots of shirtless fans in the stands. My boys and I thought they were completely nuts!!!
So much fun to watch the Pack all aglow in post-Super Bowl triumph!

Wii Fit AND the gym. That is GREAT!!!
And, I know you'll burn a ton of calories walking in to Lambeau and back later today -- and sitting there in the cold.

Day 6 - Pinky Promise... Super Bowl Sunday... completed!

Monday, February 07, 2011

Well, emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon of the Pinky Promise is done.

Here's how I did....

Workout- emoticon 60 min Wii Fit emoticon

Reading- emoticon Read 12 pages... and finished my first book this year!! emoticon

Project- emoticon - worked on my family tree emoticon

Treats- emoticon emoticon- Had a sugar cookie, and 8 starburst jelly beans, 8 bugles... that's it!! emoticon

Soda- emoticon NONE!! So... count for the week.... 1!!! emoticon

It was Super Bowl Sunday and my team won!!!! I didn't have tons of treats! I had a plan and I stuck with it! I did have 2 beers, and 2 shots, but no soda, and I didn't over do it on the treats!! I'm very proud of myself!!!

It was an emotional game for me... I looked over at my boys with tears in my eyes! This was the first Super Bowl that they watched or cared about, and to see our team... the Green Bay Packers in it was so exciting... but to see them win!!! It was amazing!!!! My oldest son was almost a year old when the Packers last won the Super Bowl and my youngest wasn't even born!! To have them be a part of something so exciting was very emotional for me!!! I'm surprising them and taking them to the Celebration at Lambeau tomorrow!! I can't wait to tell them!!!!

That is so awesome that you get to take your boys to Lambeau tomorrow!!! The last time the Packers won the Super Bowl, I hadn't even met my husband yet! And here we are married with 2 sons. What a game -- it was too much of a nail biter in that second half, though. I swear I had a mild heart attack or two! I would have liked a second half repeat of the first half. Not that I'm complaining -- I'm just happy for the WIN!!!
I sense this is the start of a new dynasty!

Oh, and congratulations on hanging in there with your plan. That is awesome. As for me, I pigged out royally yesterday, as I have been for weeks now. NOT Good!!!
So, good for you for your strength and determination!!

Day 4 of the Pinky Promise -complete!!

Saturday, February 05, 2011

Well, emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon of the Pinky Promise is done.

It was another good day! I'm really staying focused!! emoticon

Workout- emoticon 60 min Wii Fit, emoticon 90 minutes priming/painting my son's walls... couldn't fit TF in today. emoticon

Reading- emoticon 15 pages! emoticon

Project- emoticon -worked on memory book.... did 14 pages! emoticon

Treats- emoticon emoticon- NONE! emoticon
This was really hard today because when I do a "project" like painting... I always get a bag of treats and eat that while drinking soda.... usually puts me in a good mood.... don' t know why I do it, but I have ALWAYS done it and I didn't do it yesterday! Yeah me!! emoticon

Soda- emoticon NONE!!! emoticon
We even went out to dinner, which I was not planning for and I didn't have soda with my meal.... I had water instead. I also ordered a pretty healthy choice and allowed myself a couple of onion rings that we bought to share as a table. I didn't feel quite so guilty having a couple because I knew I ordered a baked potato and a grilled chicken sandwich.

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

It was another good day. I don't feel so bad missing the TF workout being I did do something else that burned calories... was painting... and man, do I feel it today!! LOL!

Also, on my Wii fit, I can set a goal and how long I want to work on it. I originally put in how much weight I wanted to lose all together, but changed it this past Monday to my goal for the month. My wii fit told me yesterday that I'm halfway there!!! I find that I work harder to attain those smaller goals... they seem more attainable. Now... to focus over the weekend, that is my hardest..... not to mention... Super Bowl tomorrow. Just going to do my best. emoticon

Loved hearing about Wii Fit. I haven't read much about folks having great success -- I likely missed it -- and seeing you talking about it was great motivation. Thanks so much for writing that. Nikki

You are doing such a great job working your plan.

I am sure your body is saying a big thank you for replacing your usual soda with water.

I have had a great couple days, too, and am a little concerned over what kind of food will arrive for our Super Bowl party. We have both fruits and vegetables coming so I know we will have a couple healthy choices for everyone.

Have a SUPER Sunday!

You are doing such a good job! You are also inspiring me to get back on Wii Fit. I haven't done it since June -- when we had to rearrange our family room because our old computer room became my son's room and we had to fit in the office furniture. So, there is currently nowhere for the balance board to be used in the family room. I have been doing some EA Sports Active on the PS3 in the living room, but I really miss some of the Wii Fit stuff -- especially the Yoga. I'm seriously considering moving the Wii into the living room -- or even trying to find a 2nd used one that I can put in there. Either way, thanks for making me think about the Wii Fit again!
