Char watch your money!!!!!!!!! I got a feeling I am going to have to keep an I on you.

Sunday, wake up and go for breakfest and to watch Circus Olay ( know I did not spell that right) then we will come hope on the boat and do some shopping.

Monday, heading out to see the big budda, biggest in the World. and a few old temples. then to hong kong park to see the monkeys, they just run lose there.

Tueday, Hong KOng disney --- all day.

Wed, Shopping at the pearl market and goldfish market and jade market, I am sure dave will love that. hehe But then to the horse races later that night.

Boy do I wish I had never wrote that blog about the Oswcars.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You would not believe the hateful e-mails I have received over this.

I really did not mean to insult anyone, or make anyone feel bad about watching TV. I watch TV all the time.

I though that this blog site was too share your feeling and your thoughts about stuff. I don't agree with everyone's blog either, but I do not write them nasty notes about it.

We, Sorry I though we were suppost to be supportive for each other.

If this does not pertain to who ever is reading this, Then let me say I am sorry again , it was not meant to insult anyone.

Please except my apology , I will not make the mistake of doing it again.

Donna, You owe no one an apology!! To thine own self be true. This is your page, your blogs, and your opinions. YOURS!!! I went and read your blog on the Oscars...nothing there to be upset about. I didn't watch them nor did I care too. But, like you, that is my right. There are too many other things in my life to worry about and pray over. Anyone who was upset over your blog has problems too big for you and me to tackle on our own...may God be with them and help them.
Please do not let this get you down, my friend. Keep up the good fight...which is to get to the healthiest you can be. Continue to believe in yourself and God and keeping your priorities straight.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Blessings and hugs,

Hey Donna...ummm...are we still living in the USA? Last I heard the First Amendment of the US Constitution gives you the right to freedom of speech. Enjoy that freedom Donna. We don't have to agree with what you say. We need to accept your right to say it. No apologies needed.

Donna, I have to agree with everyone else here... You have no need to say you are sorry. You did nothing wrong. You are entitled to your opinion just like everyone else.
Now don't let that person who is sending you nasty emails get to you. Just block them. And forget them.
What is important is your friends and team that ARE here to support you. That is what Spark is all about.

Donna, I agree with Marla...No need to apologize for your blog. Indeed this is a forum for you to express your opinions...and others through their comments bring a new dimension to the discussion. Why anyone is nasty is ridiculous. My experience is that people are uncomfortable when talking about G-d and instead of being kind they seem to lash out. This happened to a member on another team of mine.

When I blog, I look forward to comments - maybe it's my crazy New England upbringing, but even the nasty ones will sometimes make me rethink something. John tells me I have a cock-eyed optimist view of the world...maybe he's right...for I try to find the positive even in the nasty and negative.

You just keep on writing...Hugs!

Don't censor yourself, blogs are an open forum but I honestly believe they are a place for us to just talk, and have the freedom to do so. If people don't like it then either close the page and stop reading or politely say why you disagree, nothing wrong with friendly discussion.

But this is YOUR page, say what you like.

You HAD the right to blog about your opinion of the Oscars.
Sure, others HAD the right to disagree with you.
But to get nasty about it is another thing... and in an email too!
Well, Donna.... just kill 'em with kindness is all I can think to do and let it go. Personally, I wouldn't have apologized for the blog... but that's just me. You're way too kindhearted!

Blogs are suppose to let everyone put their own feelings in writing, not everyone will agree with everything that is said but you still have the right to say it. This is a place to be supportive of others and if you cannot be then do not comment at all. We all read post daily we do not agree with and then move on without commenting on them I do not understand why people feel they have more of a right to express their opinions then you do. Ignore those comments and express your feelings you have a right to them. You have no need to apologise for honest opinions. Good luck and know there are a lot of good people out there. I personally agree with you I couldn't care less about the Oscars I truly have better and more important things in my life.

I am with you girl. That is what this site is all about. To be supportive of one another. If someone doesn't like what you have written on your blog, then zone out and stop reading it. No one twisted their arm to read it and their opinions should be kept to themselves. Your blog is exactly that, your blog, and you should express your thoughts, feelings, frustrations or whatever you wish. It only takes one nasty person to turn you off to something. I know what you are talking about. I posted something and it took only one person to be nasty and practically called me a liar. I was sooo hurt, that I almost quit sparkpeople. That person and the people who are making nasty comments on your blog, to me, should be kicked off Sparkpeople. If they can't be supportive, then this site is not for them. Being supportive, is what SparkPeople is all about. Obviously, they don't belong. Sorry for venting.

What Oscars??

Tuesday, March 09, 2010

Oh, Dear friends, Seems like everyone I know around here and at work is saying "did you see the Oscars?" I was amazed to see how many were talking about it. And how important it was for them.

WHERE WAS I, OH, I know, I don't care.!!!!!!!!!!!!! It always amazes me to see how many people are amazed and care about it. So concerned about who won and who did not.

I guess that is just not an important part of my life. Those people don't mean a thing to me, nor do I think they should. My family and my church is what means something to me.

I feel like saying to those people , " Really , how are your kids, How is your faith in Jesus doing. That's what is important. Do you want to talk about how wonderful God is or how Jesus saved your soul. Or even how thankful you are to have your loving family, your close friends around you. Nope , No one wants to talk about that. Where is everyone at in this world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess, you never think about what state the world has come to, until you see what is important to people.

People , you had better wake up!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and talk about something that matters, Some thing that will sustain you threw your life, instead of what you saw on TV. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good movie and tv show like everyone else, But who wins and who does not seem to not be a big deal in my life. In fact, I would much rather talk to one of you, My sisters and bothers in weight loss then any movie star I can imanege.

Ok, I guess I have gone on long enough for you all to get the picture. But let me tell you this.:
You are so much important to me than anything I will ever see on TV . you are my dear friends and I love you so much. you are my family. Just though I would let you know where my thought are.

Donna...I don't watch any of the award shows as a rule either. Mostly due to lack of interest. If I catch a few minutes of it, it is more to catch what people are wearing. I do work with lots of folks who enjoy it tho. I think because they are avid movie goers so they have interest. I guess you can't begrudge people the things they enjoy, but I can certainly understand your side of the story too!

I don't watch the Oscars either and don't care for them. Never have. When they are on I can't watch my regular programming, because it monopolizes the entire TV.

The only thing that might interest me with the Oscars is looking at the dresses and the other wild get up some of them wear. Now that's just good for a laugh!

Donna, I have to start by saying I LOVE watching the Oscars...I LOVE movies & TV and books and DVDs and music....but guess what? I LOVE my family and I LOVE G-d...and my faith, too. There's room for all of it.

At my office we talked about the Oscars and who won & who didn't...that doesn't mean it is the most important thing in our lives...it's an interest...it doesn't mean we have no faith or our families aren't important...as a matter of fact, the two women with whom I work watch it with their families. One of them has a son-in-law in the movie business and they drive up to RI from their home so that they can watch as a family.

My parents taught me many things. Two of those seem appropriate here.

One is that it doesn't matter if I talk about G-d or my faith or my religion...It doesn't matter how many crosses I may wear...but people should be able to tell that I believe based on my actions/behavior. Do I love by the commandments and the teachings of G-d? That's a bigger measure for me.

Second is to appreciate the G-d given gifts/talents that people have...I think the Oscars reward those talents/abilities that are gifts from the Father.

Donna - Your blog made a wonderful point..... where are our priorities nowadays. This world will end and then what? Me? I'll be rejoicing at the Great Feast Back Home... with my Heavenly Father. Now THAT'S important stuff... ETERNITY!

Most don't want to hear that or care one way or another.

My Family
My Friends

Those are my priorities.

Oscars? What Oscars? I had no clue they were even on... never have watched them in my life. Call me an old fuddyduddy if you want to! LOL

The only tv I watch anymore is the local news... The Dog Whisperer, Andy Griffith Show & Little House on the Prairie.

I get on Facebook to check on my family & friends... and to read my Daily Bible Quotes and Messages from God.... good scriptures. I share that with everybody on there whether they read it or not... it's there.

I've also been weening away from so much computer time so if you're wondering why I'm not on here as much, that's why!

I thought your blog was great.... made wonderful points... especially when you talked about bringing Jesus up... it makes some people squirm. But nonetheless, if we keep mentioning Him... it's getting His Message out to others!

Keep on Witnessing Donna! I'm listening my friend.

Love you, Marla

I'm like you to a point.I do not watch the Oscars? I spent the evening with my husband and girls. I do like to watch the Law & Order shows. I also think some people should really think about their piorities. People are doing worse things to each other than watching the Oscars. Everyone needs to stop and think about what they are about to do in life.

My priority list is :

My family
My family and their well being
My well being
My faith is a little week now but working on it.

Well I guess you told us Dancing Donna. hee hee

I did watch part of it... But not because of who won. Don't know most of the directors and such. But I do know Loyd Bridges son Jeff. Kudos to him.
BUT... I haven't see any of the movies "YET". I'll catch them when they hit the BIG Screen in my living room... BUT I watched to see all the pretty Dresses or who is wearing the strange ones. Now that's entertainment. hee hee

To be honest, it was very boring this year.

But how I look at it is.... To Each their Own.

Don't get me wrong... you have a good point there my friend. But, you are more entertaining than the Oscars any day. Now go to work and don't forget to dance today. hee hee

I think I am ready

Thursday, March 04, 2010

I know I said a while back that I was just not into losing weight right now. Well maybe this trip to hong kong as inspired me or all of you . but now I think I am going to try. Lost a little so far , just a pound or so, but it is something.

Sara tells me there is a lot of hills and she does not know how I will walk a lot of them. I will do it. she needed worrie about me. So I have started back on the treadmill again , trying to bring my endurance up .

I know getting rid of at least 10 pounds by may will help my legs and maybe make me not feel so tired all the time.

Well, just though I would share with you my thoughts
love you all
