I just finished the second chest and back workout. It works so much better with real weight instead of the bands and a pullup bar instead of the moulding around the door.

I noticed that my butt is still sore from the legs and back workout from 2 days ago. I don't think it has been sore for this long before.

I still need to think about what I plan on doing for the cruise coming up next week. Maybe I'll bring my laptop to play the dvds.

My fiance and I took a trip down to Va Beach this weekend, so I ended up missing a day of p90x. I made it up the next day, but these workouts are long, so its pretty hard to double up. Fortunately, today is Stretch X, so I figure I can skip that and be okay. Maybe I'll try to get Denise to do it with me tonight.

Although going home set me back a day on my workout, I did get to bring some stuff back that might help me out. I was able to grab some dumbells and my olympic lifting set.

These workouts take a lot out of me at this point. Hopefully, I'll feel up to doing more physical activity throughout the day as I get fit.

So, over the last half year I have let it slip. I'm back at 245, with just 3 months before the big day. With all the traveling for residency interview season and being home (eating free food) for the last several months I have gotten out of control with my weight.

This time, I'm going to try starting on a regimented plan. I recently picked up the P90X dvds and started them 2 days ago. My entire body hurts already and I am only doing about 1/2 to 2/3 of the reps they are doing in the video. Hopefully I can continue this. However, it takes at least 1 hour per day and I'm not sure I'll have that much free time.

Today was arms and shoulders with ab ripper x. I haven't found a cheap adjustable dumbbell set yet, so I'm stuck using my rubber band. Seeing as how I am incredibly out of shape, it did the job anyway. Ab ripper X killed me as usual, but I did do the first 3 exercises fully, so its an improvement.

As far as diet goes, I'm having company over tonight, so we'll see how that goes. I plan on making a french-style pot roast out of a whole sirloin tip roast I picked up from the grocery store today. I'll try to fill up on protein rather than the sides people bring. I am feeling somewhat guilty over the artisan loaf of bread I made this morning.

    Glad you are back in the saddle!
It is great that you started off with excercising.
Hope your night will be OK. Focus on the good company and not on the food except to check that you don't go overboard :)
BTW, that bread does look delish. Just make sure you serve it to everyone else first!!!

  Can you tell me what POSE running style is? Ive never heard of it. May google it. I am having the same problem with my shins...looking for a solution!
