Jake-The most amazing puppy ever! 11/30/11-03/31/12

Wednesday, April 04, 2012

This is Jake. What a Joy!!!!

He came to live with us on January 15th and quickly became one of the loves of my life!

He was so sweet natured.

He was definitely a Mama's Boy!

On Saturday, March 31st, he got run over in our driveway. It wasn't our neighbor's fault. Jake wasn't paying attention.

I am heartbroken.

I know he came into my life for a reason. And I don't understand the reason he was with us for such a short while. Maybe to prove to me that pitbulls are truly amazing, sweet, kind, and loving animals. Or maybe to show me I can love another dog. My oldest dog, BigUn, has congestive heart failure and each day I have with him is a blessing. I have been afraid when he dies, I won't be able to love another dog again. Man.....Jake proved me wrong.

I grieve for him and I smile with the sweet memories.

Jake, thank you for the love and kindness you brought to my life.

I love you little Buddy!!!!

Your blog gives me hope that I can one day love another dog after losing my sweet Mina I just can't stand to think about another I think I am afraid of the pain that comes with loving them... also I think I have a crazy thought of me betraying her by giving love to a new friend... but I know that is just insane my Mina was so full of love and sweetness she would want me to love again... but my heart is just not ready.. Thank You for showing me that it will get better.. emoticon

Mother's Day

Friday, May 06, 2011

Mother's Day isn't the same for me since my Mom passed away last year.

But, it is a time that I can encourage everyone who still has their Mom with them to never ever take for granted that you will have another Mother's Day with her.

Enjoy her, love her, savor those moments with your Mom!!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all my Spark Friend moms!

Here's a pic of my Mom! Happy Mother's Day, Mama. I love you and miss you!

I am sorry she is gone - but thank you for the reminder to cherish our mothers while we can. I didn't get to see my mother yesterday but she is still alive and I talked to her twice.

I know the hurt of losing a Mom. My mom passed away almost 24 years ago. At times, those heavy feelings of loss sweep over me and the tears flow freely. The time spent together should be cherished....because the time ends way too quickly. WAY too quickly. I miss her. My heart aches that my daughters never got to know their grandmother. But the love that she gave to me has helped to form my life as an adult, a parent, a friend.

Keep the memories of your Mom close to your heart. Cherish them. Thank you for sharing your Mom with all of us.

Best wishes always....Bill

I love your picture of your mama! What a sweet picture of her. I totally agree with you Terri, if others have their moms, they need to cherish those moments! My mama passed at age 63, now 18 years ago. No matter how old I get, I miss her and wish she was around. What a wonderful reunion it will be when we get to Heaven!! Happy Mother's day to you my friend! emoticon

I love the way you did her picture! My Mom died in 82. I use Mother's day for sweet memories and for being thankful that I have kids. emoticon

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Mom......mine passed in '09 and she's been on my mind a lot lately (she was a HUGE baseball fan and our local team is beginning their season this week).....

Your mom's face somewhat reminds me of mine......

Did you know there's an "I Miss My Mom" SparkTeam? You may want to check it out.....

I'm not really sure where this picture came from. I certainly can't take credit for the picture but I think we can all use a little more humor in our lives.

Happy Weekend Spark Friends!!!!

I just noticed yesterday that one of my spark friends' name is black and when I search, it says not a member.

I'm really concerned because she was having so many struggles.

It tough not having a way to connect.

I'm assuming if someone's name has gone black, they've deactivated their account.

Prayers going up for her!

THENEWME43 (Annette) is right. I've had friends return (one did just this week) after disappearing for whatever reasons. It has happened before, though, and I wished I could have at least gotten her email or something, even if she didn't want to Spark any more. I think she just got so discouraged when she didn't see results. You sound like one terrific friend! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

It's when one of us leave that we really get the sense of how close a community we're forming and how important each of us are to another. I too miss someone and since she left, I keep her in my heart, wishing for her all the best life can bring.
Hang on sister!

yes, I also notice when someone leaves Spark their name on my friend list is large print. It bothers me too, beacause Spark is a place that really does produce results!

They may not have deactivated their account. They may have just switched their Sparkpage from public to private for a while. Sometimes, we need a break from things. Hopefully, your friend will be back. Sounds like she has a really good friend in you.

Yes, I've had that happen, too. It's sad when spark friends leave - especially without saying goodbye. I've seen where some SP members left, and later came back (and some even changed to a new username, reflecting their new goals). So there's hope that your SP friend might return.

BTW, I've chosen NOT to delete the friends who are listed in black, so if they return, it will be easier for them to get in touch and let me know they're back. Besides, seeing their names brings good memories and also reminds me to pray for them. emoticon

Hope this helps! emoticon
