I just noticed yesterday that one of my spark friends' name is black and when I search, it says not a member.
I'm really concerned because she was having so many struggles.
It tough not having a way to connect.
I'm assuming if someone's name has gone black, they've deactivated their account.
Prayers going up for her!

THENEWME43 (Annette) is right. I've had friends return (one did just this week) after disappearing for whatever reasons. It has happened before, though, and I wished I could have at least gotten her email or something, even if she didn't want to Spark any more. I think she just got so discouraged when she didn't see results. You sound like one terrific friend!

yes, I also notice when someone leaves Spark their name on my friend list is large print. It bothers me too, beacause Spark is a place that really does produce results!

They may not have deactivated their account. They may have just switched their Sparkpage from public to private for a while. Sometimes, we need a break from things. Hopefully, your friend will be back. Sounds like she has a really good friend in you. Report Inappropriate Comment |

Yes, I've had that happen, too. It's sad when spark friends leave - especially without saying goodbye. I've seen where some SP members left, and later came back (and some even changed to a new username, reflecting their new goals). So there's hope that your SP friend might return. BTW, I've chosen NOT to delete the friends who are listed in black, so if they return, it will be easier for them to get in touch and let me know they're back.  It never gets easy to see friends leave Spark, especially when they are not in a good place. Hopefully they will find their spark again and come back!
