I was really pleased with my Sports Rehab Evaluation. It was the first neuro assessment I have had since a year after my back surgery and the sensation and movement in my left leg have improved tremendously. I even had a bit of a knee jerk response on the left. As far as my progress and physical shape, she was really impressed and said I had come a long way and to keep it up. It was a real boost to my ego. She said I can keep up most of the physical activity I am doing, even the jogging IF I enjoy it. She said only to do it if I really liked it. I only got no's on Skiing, Skating, Horseback riding and any high risk of falling activities like sky diving
She said "go for it" If you hurt or have problems stop. She did say to be careful of activities involving balance because my left side is weak. She was totally approving of walking and even jogging a little of the 5K.
She said that studies have not shown a detrimental effect on osteoarthritis or degenerative disk disease from jogging!
