First Week of Bootcamp

I really enjoyed the first week of Bootcamp. I did all the videos, modifying some of the exercises so I could do them. I did 45 min of aerobics each day. I ate within my calorie range every day and it worked. I lost 3 lbs and passed the 50 pound lost mark.

I really can't believe it. I've never enjoyed losing weight this much before. I feel healthy and energetic. Not in the least bit deprived. It's great!

I'm also reading the Spark and working the 28 day program. It's a lot easier the 2nd time around.

Nice Weekend

I really enjoyed my weekend at home. We don't do this very often. I just wish the weather had been warmer today. I wanted to take Bucky for a walk in the park but I don't go outside when its below freezing. Brrrrrr.

I had fun visiting with friends and family and my DH and I got to work on our Budget figures for 2009 so we can set up our budget for 2010.

I am also reading Nicholas Sparks' (nice name!) latest book "The Last Song". I checked it out of the library last Monday after waiting a month for it and I have to have it back tomorrow.

So, I'm off to read!

    I think I will get off and read myself. Cuddle up under a blanket and get to it. I am reading Book of Hours by T. Davis Bunn. It is a mystery. I use the library frequently. I used to buy a lot of books but then they just sat on the shelf after I read them. Money down the drain so to speak so now I am a library fanatic. It sounds like you don't get your books very long. We have 3 weeks and can renew 2X if no one is waiting.

    I got back into reading when we bought our cabin 3 years ago. With no TV or telephone, I read when I can't go out and walk.

    You did have a nice weekend. Good for you. And it was productive too! I love to read but never have time to anymore. I keep myself busy too much and then if I try to slow down and read I actually feel guilty. I have to get far enough along that I can work on that too!

    I love to read. I will put that on my "Library List"! My friends and I exchange books often, well they buy them and I read them, lol! I try to get to the library often. Glad you had a nice weekend!

Week 1 of Boot Camp Done!

I finished all the challenges from week one of boot camp and feel great. I hopped on the scale and think I've lost a few pounds, but Monday is my real weigh in day so we'll see what happens then.

I've enjoyed the videos and have been able to do most of the exercises.
The 30 min of aerobics a day I had already been doing, but I added about 15 min a day.

I'm rewarding myself with a bubble bath tonight and a glass of wine!

Friday at Home

DH has to go to Denver tonight for a Rotary function so we stayed home from the cabin. I love going to the cabin every weekend, but I also like to stay in town sometimes. I got up this morning and went to a Jazzercise class (my first one) at the Rec Center. I really enjoyed it and might do it again for a change of pace.

Then I went swimming for a while, sat in the spa and the steam room before coming home.

I met a friend for lunch then went shopping. Fun day!

I also bought a new scale which weighs me 2 pounds lighter than my old scale so I guess I lost some weight the easy way!

    You gotta love that new scale. I haven't found a place around here to swim inside yet during the winter. I guess I will give it up til summer. Keep something to look forward to. Sounds like your day was a treat.

    LOL, where did you get that scale? I want one! I so wish we lived closer to town so I could take some classes. I miss that a lot. Last time I did Jazzercise leg warmers were a fashion statement. Have a great evening!

Work was good today. I trained 2 different people, one all morning and the other for part of the afternoon. I felt useful and productive. I wonder if it was the work or my change in attitude?

    Whichever it was I am glad it lead to you having a good day! Sometime just a small change bring a great reward. Work has a way of draining us and that can make for a bad day. So glad this was a good one for you.

    Changing my attitude always helps. I am trying really hard to work on that right now with my two part-time jobs. It's not easy, but I think it's worth it!
