Daisy dog worked and worked to get the afghan just right.

Made another trip to the new house (mp) last week. Met my sons there and we did some marathon painting, repairing, unpacking, preparing the floors to be sanded and finished by floor guy this week, did yard work, filled in spot in back yard where cement was removed (it was slanted toward the house and caused water in the basement) cleaned, argued, laughed and generally enjoyed it!
Here's the progress on the kitchen:
 
Because the renovations have gone so well, the move date has been moved up to early August instead of late August. That means:
I have to sell tons of stuff at my moving sale
I have to throw away tons of stuff
I have to send change of address and e-mail notices
I have to pack everything
I have to notify utilities to be turned off
I have to decide what plants to take with me
I have to eat everything in the freezer and refrigerator (good thing most of it is healthy!)
I have to track all that cardio activity
I have to say goodbye to good friends
Bitter sweet times!

My daughter and I spent the weekend preparing for a "moving sale". Unfortunately, my knee swelled up and got very sore, so for part of the time I sat and relaxed by the pool reading magazines and icing my knee. She brought boxes for me to go through.
Here is the "garage/moving/let's get rid of some stuff" sale!
There's lots more to put out, but couldn't fit it all in. So, feel free to come on over, bring your nickels and dimes and take home lots of stuff!
Let this be a lesson to all my Sparkies!! Don't keep all that stuff forever! I have donated 15 bags of things and have a lot more to go. Anything that doesn't sell in the garage sale will also go to Good Will.

As I am starting to pack and downsize, I am asking myself some questions. Why do I have 4 microwaves, 4 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, 4 tvs? Well, let's see, I had one microwave and one refrigerator at work and then I brought them home. I have one microwave and one refrigerator in the camper. I have one microwave in the kitchen where I live and one where I am moving. Same with dishwashers. Tvs, pretty much the same thing! Now you see why I have ended up with way tooooo much stuff!

The floors will be refinished after the carpenter finishes installing cabinets and kitchen and bathroom flooring.
We (my son and I) spent 4 days painting hall, living room, dining room and kitchen ceilings, walls and closets. Most of them took 2 coats. Still have the bedrooms to paint.
My generous son gave me his cold to take home with me, so I plan to share it with my daughter when she comes to help this weekend. The family that sneezes, coughs and whines together, stays together!
Daisy dog is getting used to the new house and loves the back yard. Lots of room for frisbee playing!
