Can't get enough water

Tuesday, April 15, 2008

I am so thirsty today it is crazy. I haven't had salty food or eatten anything spicy but ever since I got up this morning, I can't get the thirst out of my mouth. So far I have drank 64 oz of water. Maybe my body is trying to make up for yesterday. I think I had 64 oz of water all day. Oh well. Bring on the water. emoticon

The weather's been a little crazy lately... My daughter got dehydrated over the (hot!) weekend, and nosebleeds. I think it was the low humidity. I've been drinking lots of water too. Listen to your body and you'll be ok!

I know how that is! x-x Could it maybe be from allergies? Mine started acting up, and I didn't even know I had any, first thing was I was really thirsty and then watery, itchy eyes and so on..
But you sorta get addicted to water when you're used to drinking more, right? emoticon

I LOVE Spinning

Tuesday, April 15, 2008

I have falling in LOVE with spinning class. I didn't think I was going to like it at first but the way I feel afterwards is amazing. I am tired and sweaty and feel like I got a workout. Plus it KICKS your booty! It is nice to go to the gym, walk on the treadmill before class and go all out riding the bike. If you have not tried a spin class you have to. Do not be intimidated. It is fun and you burn a lot of calories and you too will fall in love with it.

I love it too - I think it's definitely the most fun workout I've tried. I used to go all the time, but now I have trouble getting my son moving in the morning to get there in time for class. Every week I keep saying I'm going to try to make it.

What is wrong with me...

Wednesday, February 27, 2008

So my first ever blog was about the water bottle. For some reason, the last week, the water bottle has not been my friend or should I say I have not been friends with my water bottle. I just don't want to drink water during the day but at night, which makes frequent trips in the middle of the night to the bathroom. I did look at it today and decided that our friendship was not over and that I would fill it up. So far I have only drank 16 oz, which is nothing for me. I used to drink over 100oz in a day, especially when I go to the gym. 32oz is easy just for a gym trip. Oh water bottle. Can you ever forgive me? I am going to try and fill you up more so that once again we can be best friends and I will try not to ignore you ever again.

The love/hate relationship with the water bottle is never ending. Maybe you could slip a little something in to make it exciting again (some lemon or crystal light packs)? Some days it is really easy for me and others, I have to force it down. Good luck on welcoming the water bottle back into the fold.

4:45 pm rocks @ the gym

Wednesday, February 27, 2008

So I asked my boss if I could change my hours to 7:30-4:30pm and he said yes. And man am I a happy camper. I can now go to the gym after work and not worry about not finding a parking spot. When I tried to go after work before (5) the parking lot would be full. People were parking where you weren't suppose to and it sucked to drive around the parking lot waiting for someone to leave. Sometimes it would take 15 min and if it took longer I would leave. They had even added more spots at my gym and still it would be packed. I am just happy that I can leave 30 min earlier and not have that dread feeling that I will be circling the parking lot waiting for someone to leave.

Doh...

Thursday, January 31, 2008

There are donuts in my breakroom. Every time I go in there for water I smell the yumminess that is the donuts. So many flavors that I know taste so good. I have been good. I have had none and I am happy with that but I know that once someone cuts a donut in half I am going to have to have the other half. I will be chewing my gum all day to not eat a donut. I guess I will have to get my water from somewhere else but then again, my lunch is in there. Booo.

I hope you stayed strong with that donut temptation:-) man, that does sound good though.....I will allow myself sweets like that still....but only if it either #1 fits into my calories for the day or #2 I'm just having a serious serious craving and there's gonna be no stopping me - in which case I try REALLY hard to only have 1/2.

Look up the calories in one of those, then look up how much extra exercise you would have to do to burn it off! That just might kill that craving!

Good luck with temptation! Be strong pretend a fly landed on them. LOL

When I think I'd LOVE to have a treat, I make myself look up the nutrition facts of the item, then calculate how much EXTRA exercise I'd have to do to cancel it out... I usually decide to pass on the food item. It's just NOT WORTH IT! (I did this just today as I so very much wanted a DQ blizzard)

I'm a teacher. From classroom parties, to club events, to lounge area treats, to cafeteria food, to candy sales, to concession stands... yes, there are always donuts and other such stumbling blocks. Stay strong. Some one once told me this is how they got throught the tough times: They ask themselves one question... "Am I giving up what I want MOST by giving in to what I want NOW?"
