The day all started with the hair styles. Lia sat so perfect while Kathy did her updo. Then we were off to the church for dressing and pictures followed by the wedding ceremony which was lovely. They didn't light unity candles as they had unity sand(blue and yellow) that they poured together into a single jar. Turned into a beautiful pattern. The congregation sang Amazing Grace during this in honor of Jeremy's grandma who he used to sing that song with when they were growing up.
Then we were off to the reception.
The famous speech by the best man was going to be "ata boy Jeremy" and some kind words by the maid of honor, well my son Brian and daughter Wendy had us all laughing so hard we were in tears. We had a lesson in Jeremy 101 and Kayla 501. In Jeremy's class we learned that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach with Mountain Dew and meatloaf and for dessert Winky. End of class Jeremy 101-a 2 pocket folder. Then onto Kayla 501-a 3 ring binder, Jeremy had a page listing all of Kayla's BD's until she is like 53 with emphasis for every 10 years to buy something extra special and a space to add any children's BD's, the next page was a list of all their anniversaries and what year with an emphasis on every 10th year also to buy something extra special, the next several pages were how to get him out of the dog house, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate and if that didn't work then take her out to eat plus chocolate, if that didn't work then chocolate, take her out to eat, and jewelry. Then there was like six pages for him to take notes of what worked and what didn't.
Then it was on to the dance. This is the picture I gave you a tease with. Did anybody figure it out? I am sure some of you were able to. The couple in between Jeremy and Kayla(the bride and groom) is my parents. Dad wanted to dance with mom as it was their 55th wedding anniversary on Sunday, and he was having nothing to do with dancing in the wheelchair so we held him up with guards and the wheelchair behind him which I don't think you can see. The object was a family dance and what started out as a circle of six ended up a circle of many. Dad was not suppose to be alive for this event so this was a very memorable event for our family and he even got to dance even though we just swayed a little back and forth but that was enough for him. It was an awesome day with the best of memories. Thanks for stopping by to enjoy them with me. Hugs to you all. Jane
