Got up late. DH took us to brunch then we stopped by his work for the "tour". Apparently his workplace was open to the public this weekend so people could see what goes into running the traffic of a city.
We saw the control room with all the tv cameras showing the roads. The signals area where they build the traffic lights and controllers for intersections. The paint truck that does the lines for all the roads. Interesting stuff.
Maybe I was still having lingering migraine because I went to bed when we got home. Felt so tired.
Got up later & did manage to see Leo. Didn't do much with him but groom him & get the last of winter fuzz off. Scratched one of his new herd mates up a lot. Leo has two new girl friends out with him now. King went back home. One of the girls really liked me scratching her. The other is still too timid.
Well off to bed I go....again. Seems like I hadn't been far from it today.
Wooo! It was a sweaty Zumba class for me last night. I was just dripping! Haven't been to that class consistently to learn some of the instructor's routines but I kept it gyrating and shaking. Faked it a lot.
30 minutes to cool down and then I had a nice relaxing hour of yoga after. I got a smoothy at the juice bar after my shower and the Zumba instructor was coming up to get a smoothie. So I asked her about Zumba clothes.
I've been looking at the Canada Web site and following the measurements, stuff looks like they fit small. She suggested if I get pants to get a medium but then said if I want anything to let her know. She does orders & gets a discount & absorbs the shipping cost. Nice!
Excuse me.... I'm going to look at some new workout clothes.
Excited to announce that my whole family (me, DH & DD) will be running to together in the 2012 Army Run 5k on Sept 23, 2012!
The web site says: From the cannon used as a starter's pistol to the "dog-tag" medals that soldiers place around participants' necks when they cross the finish line, this event is unlike any other in the country and one you don't want to miss!
I was there to cheer DH on last year when he ran it with a few friends. He also ran it dressed in combat pants & boots! Seeing all the people, soldiers (abled & disabled) & my dear DH doing it, I was inspired to run.
I've completed my first race this past Saturday and last night I registered the whole family for the Army Run.
