Natural Fat Burning Food

Friday, August 23, 2013

I discovered through my journey of weight loss... its not how much you eat... its rather what you eat that makes all the difference. For example you should try to keep your body PH alkaline as much as possible so that you burn more fat and thus loose weight. How that is done is simply by eating more green leafy veggies as much as possible... staying away from fast food, preservatives, refined sugar, lowering your sodium intake... and when you wake up in the morning drink unsweetened fresh lemon juice... try to eat more probiotic yoghurt cause its got digestive enzymes that are good for you... as well as that eat cottage cheese its got casein before you sleep without any carbs... it will help you add more muscle specially if you lift weights or do exercise... fish oil supplements are good for you they're a good source of fat in general... of coarse what you should be eating should be lean protien and complex carbs (if you donno how much you should be eating a rule of thumb is the size of your fist for carbs and protien)... a few small meals( 4-6 )a day are a good idea... and 45 min exercise everyday is good too... these are simple tips i do myself that helped me loose weight...

After "weight loss plateau" depression, I decided to get back on my feet

Sunday, November 18, 2012

It's that moment when you loose your weight loss enthusiasm but decide to get back again. I stopped going to the gym for the past month and quit dieting all because I got sick of this weight loss plateau I got stuck in. But thanks God, I did not gain any weight I lost since I'm used to walking a lot. Anyway, today I decided to start dieting again and so far I haven't binged or anything like that. Right now I'm preparing myself to go jogging since the weather is really nice and it's sunny (I live in Egypt). Thanks for reading my blog this far. Wish me luck!

Controlling Emotional Eating and Curbing Cravings

Saturday, June 23, 2012

Emotional eating, as a matter of fact, is what got me overweight. Therefore, my biggest challenge during my weight loss journey is to control it. The best way, is to get out all the negative emotions in any other direction, like writing for example in a journal, or talking with someone who can understand, and last but not least doing something spiritual like praying. Another challenge I'm sure a lot of you find difficult to handle is curbing cravings, specially when these cravings are sitting right in front of you inside the fridge. It's like you just can't stop thinking about that cheese cake or even worse, chocolate mousse cake. Best strategy to follow with these temptations is first, stop and think about how much calories, sugar and fat these temptations got , it will ruin your diet, think about that wedding you want to attend and look fabulous there. Second, if that fails, try to take a small piece of your "temptation" just to satisfy yourself, take care of your portions.

This is what I do, thanks again for reading this much! :)

Weight Loss Plateau

Thursday, June 21, 2012

Now that I hit a second weight loss plateau during my weight loss journey, like I did last time I have to change my diet program and increase the calories I burn during the day. The thing is that I do not really follow a diet program all the time and I don't really "formally" exercise either. I just wear comfortable clothes and walk for 2 or 3 hours for 2 or 3 days a week. As for my diet program, I just follow "grandma's" advise. Like not eat the food that will obviously make me fat, e.g. junk food and decrease carb and sugar intake, and quit eating after 8 or 9 pm. I also stop eating before I'm full. But that's my old diet and exercise program and it's not working anymore, I reached a weight loss plateau. So what I usually do is, go on a chemical diet for one or 2 consecutive weeks. So today is my first day on a 5-day chemical diet. Lets pray I don't cheat and stick to it so that it works. Thanks for reading this much.

emoticonI know when we do the same routine everyday our bodies get used to it and that's where we stay. I know from experience that we have to shake it up every once in a while. I wish you success. emoticon
