My daughter, Megan just called me about the result of Isaac's tests. He has NEC.
Question: What is Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC)?
Isaac has necrotizing enterocolitis. What is it, and how is it treated?
Answer: Necrotizing enterocolitis, usually called NEC, is a condition where the intestines become infected and can begin to die. The disease usually affects premature babies, although term babies may also get NEC. NEC is a serious condition that may require surgery, and has a high morbidity and mortality rate. There is a long lists of horrible possibilities has a result of this disease for Isaac.
I know that God has a plan for this baby. He is the only one that knows the outcome of this illness, and He can heal him even now. I am choosing to trust Him tonight and forever with His plans for little Isaac. Please join me in praying for Isaac, and continued health for Samuel. His parents Megan and Nick are weighed down heavily tonight with concern for this tiny baby.
Isaac is a miracle from you, Lord. I know that you love him even more than we do.
