I found a headache cure

Wednesday, February 08, 2012

I came home from with with a large headache. After I ate dinner, my head was still throbbing,so I drank a Diet Coke for the caffeine to see if that would help.

I knew I needed to workout, so I got ready to run. After my 5k on the treadmill, a SP bootcamp workout and some bicycle crunches, I was headache free. I am amazed. No drugs to take it away, just working out did it for me. A new found cure for my occasional headaches. It may work for you too!

The coffee may have helped, too. But wow, that is the very time I might use the headache excuse NOT to exercise. Thanks for sharing.

God still works His miracles today!

Sunday, February 05, 2012

My daughter just wrote on her FB page the following regarding Isaac and his doctors at Nashville Baptist.

Absolutely a great day in the NICU!!! Isaac had a normal X-ray. Doctors say its a miracle!! I say that & the power of prayers!! No longer need the PICC line!!! Going to get blood & new iv placed today. Will continue on antibiotics till Wednesday. NPO/belly rest till Friday. Samuel took 1/2 a bottle for one of his feedings!! God is good all the time!!

Thank you so much for praying. I agree with Megan the healing of Isaac's belly/intestines was directly from a powwerful and awesome God. The doctors also commented that Isaac did not look like the same baby and they did not believe the x-rays today were from him.

I praise God that His will matched our desires for Isaac. We will proclaim this healing as only from God! emoticon

Isaac is very sick and needs prayers!!!

Saturday, February 04, 2012

My daughter, Megan just called me about the result of Isaac's tests. He has NEC.
Question: What is Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC)?
Isaac has necrotizing enterocolitis. What is it, and how is it treated?
Answer: Necrotizing enterocolitis, usually called NEC, is a condition where the intestines become infected and can begin to die. The disease usually affects premature babies, although term babies may also get NEC. NEC is a serious condition that may require surgery, and has a high morbidity and mortality rate. There is a long lists of horrible possibilities has a result of this disease for Isaac.

I know that God has a plan for this baby. He is the only one that knows the outcome of this illness, and He can heal him even now. I am choosing to trust Him tonight and forever with His plans for little Isaac. Please join me in praying for Isaac, and continued health for Samuel. His parents Megan and Nick are weighed down heavily tonight with concern for this tiny baby.

Isaac is a miracle from you, Lord. I know that you love him even more than we do.

Samuel and Isaac are seven weeks today.

Friday, February 03, 2012

The boys now weigh three pound and two pounds. Sam is off all oxygen and his tape and tubes are gone too. Isaac may have a virus, and the doctors are ruling out what he does not have. His parents are waiting on the results of his blood culture this weekend. He does not act or look sick.

Here is Sam.

And now Isaac.

So wonderful to hear of his progress. As the mother of a 2.11 preemie 21 yrs ago and who is now a senior in college, my heart goes out to parents in this situation. I was able to stay at the hospital 12 hrs a day until my DD was discharged.
