Hello My Lovelies!

I have been so busy lately. I have allowed myself to not be my top priority. Work, family and friends have needed more of me the last month, I fell behind in my sparking, meal planning and working out. I knew it would be temporary so now I need to get back on track. I will find the balance.

With that said, Life has been joyful. Every day I am blessed in so many ways it amazes me. That includes all of you. What a blessing this site and all of you have been. Just the best!

Things I am grateful for today:

I have air conditioning in Southern Arizona.
I have a pool.
I have a car with a windshield to keep the bugs out of my hair
I have a refrigerator that keeps my food cool and makes ice cubes
I have a DH that loves to cook
I have a DH that is learning how to cook healthier
I have a DH that loves me
I have a DD that loves to play the piano
I have a house that is filled with either music, laughter and sometimes both
I have a computer to spark on

    All the simple thing in life. I am glad your human and womble a bit. Do you remember the saying from a commercial, weebles wobble but webbles don't fall down? They were a toy shaped egg painted like people. Just reminds me that we don't really fall. And I know you better that that! Go healthy you.

    Awesome Meghan!
I am thankful for a very supportive Mom and Step dad! For Dr.'s who are trying to help me as much as possible. For a part time job giving me extra money to save. An apartment that is subsidized so all my income doesn't go to food and lodging. For living in a place with free medical care!! For having a disability pension instead of being out on the street. For the Spark People website and friends I have made on here!

Just a quick note

Hello my lovelies!

I have been so busy lately, I have had no time to blog. I am behind on my May goals and that will happen Thursday as I have more time that day of the week. Ah well, no beating myself up over it. That just does not work for me anymore. I have been way to hard on myself and I deserve a break so here it is!

I had fun working out
I am strong
I have clothes
I have a comfy bed to sleep in
I have a DH that cooks for me
I have a DD that makes me laugh
I am loved

Okay.......I ate one. It was REALLY good. Does that mean I will eat one every day? No. It was the first one I had had in probably 7 months. I am so good. It was a slip not a slide. I am done.

  i may sound stupid but i thought that was a healthy choice beans in a wrap with some cheese and to be able to stick to having only one is really really good as i know with fajitas i am so greedy i have cut back to only three i am such a little piggy

Marching my goals!

Hello my friends,

March is over and it is time to look at how I did with my goals. Do you track your goals monthly? I highly recommend it. It does not have to do with just with weight loss. It could any habit to want to incorporate into your life, like saving money. I keep mine on the fridge so I look at them at least once a day, So here is how I did on mine.

To lose 4 pounds to 152.5. I actually made 151.5! I actually looked at the scale yesterday and did not believe it. I waited a day and yes, the some. Woohoo for me.

To log at least 2438 fitness minutes. I logged 2854. I blew this out of the water, hence why I lost so much weight

To log at least 1860 spark minutes. I logged 1827. So close!!!!

To log all my food every day. I missed this on two days. For me that is amazing.

To compliment every person I interact with each day with a real compliment. This one needs some work

To eat 8 freggies a day. Another one that is staying. I totally blew this one!

Something I am going to do differently this time is list them in opposite order. In other words, the ones that I come to mind first will be on my list last. The last will be first on my list. Of course, my primary focus is my weight, so even if it is last on my list, it is still in my mind. The ones that are fresh goals for me that need the most work, will need to be at the top of my list so when I glance at it, I will see them.

    emoticon emoticonThis reminds me of an episode of Oprah I watched today...stored on my DVR from several months ago, her personal trainer, Bob Greene was there to relay his five crucial steps to keeping the weight off, realistically. For the very first important step he recommends:

Have a clear vision of what you want. "Picture your life the way you want it," Bob says. "You could even be the most motivated person on the planet. If you don't have a vision for yourself, your motivation will take you somewhere away from the vision that you want for your life."

(ok I'm bad at paraphrasing so I had to google it)...Yayyy, I see that it has sank in for you...Congratulations on all your hard work and for sharing your tips for March. Here's to a successful April! emoticon

    Well done!! I actually was never a goal setter. I knew what I had to do and just aimed for it every single day. But for people still needing to lose weight, its a great way to focus. The only time I missed tracking my food in two years was when I was in the hospital with no internet access and on vacation also with no access..
