I need to get my act together! I need to mow the lawn, plant the flowers, hose down the lawn furniture and get into my backyard sanctuary. I want to cook out on the grill and light up the fire pit. It's that time of year. I love the serenity that comes from being in my backyard.

I started my new job earlier this week. I must adjust to the new schedule. I'm loving the fact that I get to start work earlier and enjoy the daylight hours. I also like having the weekends off! I'm learning the job responsibilities and I am adjusting well. I have to attend corporate training next week in addition to working my regular day shift. I like the atmosphere of the hospital. I made healthy food selections this week in the cafeteria. I ate turkey burger three times this week. Next week I plan on packing my lunch and enjoying the view of the hospital from the garden patio.

I began reading a book this week. Oh, the things I have missed over these past two years. I love the calm that stems from me when I can sit, read and get caught up in the story. I received a Kindle for Mother's Day. My daughter promised to show me how to create an account and download books when she returns from her vacation next week.

Today I am going to a garden party.

OMG- I just lost my blog! I was busy typing away and then poof! It's gone! Well, here I go again!

I like my new job! I began my on the job training this week. It is a lot of new things, but I am adjusting well. I like the fact that my days are more structured. This week I was on days. I don't mind getting up early and getting off early. I would rather get the work out of the way. Next week I have to attend corporate orientation at an off-site location in addition, I will be working full-time hours. I will be glad when I get my uniforms. I do not like having to decide what to wear to work each day. I'm really hoping for the scrubs (I can't believe I said that). Scrubs are so easy to maintain and they feel like pajamas too.

I need to mow the lawn, plant the flowers in the ground, hose off the lawn furniture and do some touch up painting. I need to get the yard ready for me to fire up the grill and light up the fire pit. I love the peacefulness in my backyard. It's like being in paradise. I could do without the groundhogs, skunks and raccoons though. The birds and squirrels are tolerable. I love hanging out in the backyard while reading a good book.

I starting reading again this week. I haven't had the time or energy to just sit and read in almost two years. I have read during that time but not chain reading like I love to do. My children bought me a Kindle for Mother's Day. My daughter promised to show me how to create an account and download books when she returns from her vacation next week.

I ate quite well this week. I had a turkey burger for lunch three days this week. I was a healthy selection in the cafeteria. Most of the food is healthy, but I just didn't feel like trying anything else. Next week I plan on packing my lunch and enjoying it from the garden view of the patio during my lunch hour.


I need to get off this computer and get my butt in gear! I will be attending a garden luncheon at noon today and here I am typing away as if I haven't a care in the world. I will be wearing a maxi dress and of course a big floppy hat. It's going to be a lovely day here in Michigan today. The weatherman is predicting a breezy 87 degree day. Thunderstorms are expected later this evening.

I'm loving the resurrection of CC. It's a new beginning to my life.

New Job!!!

I began my new job on Tuesday!!! I'm learning lots of new stuff and adjusting quite well. I'm in training and learning from three people thus far. I guess I'm fortunate to get three variations of the same job. It's strange how nobody does the same task the exact same way. Sure, the job gets done, but I literally have to separate the good from the bad. I begin off-site corporate training next week. I will either be very smart or have to unlearn lots of bad habits.

The hardest part of the whole job thus far is figuring out what to wear. After wearing scrubs for the last two years I have to actually contemplate what to wear each day. I never thought I would say this, but boy, do I miss my scrubs! Besides, all my clothes prior to scrubs fit funny. They are either too big, baggy, or the wrong color. I must wear blue or black.

How excellent for you! So you did find your next journey. So glad for you... yeah, I would love a job wearing scrubs, but since I want nothing to do with the medical field, lol, it's not to be. However, I do keep up with my own type of uniform that fits my body well. I wear a simple black, A-line, knee length skirt every day, with a different top, different accessories and occasionally different shoes. It keeps things simple with allowing me to save money, lose weight without stress about what to wear as all a skirt does is hang low when you lose weight, and then it allows me to still look professional at the job. A Busy Week Ahead

Friday morning started off with me telling my current employer that I was giving my two week notice. I decided against putting it in writing. I just told her flat out. It was a growth opportunity and a learning experience, not a pleasant working situation. I will be working at a local hospital where I can grow and be the best CC I can be. I will have to learn a lot on the new job, but it will be more than worth it in the long run.

I attended a Women's Conference at a local sister church this weekend. I learned so much. It was all about women (sisters) mentoring each other. I purchased some great books and met some wonderful women. I networked and may have a few ladies lined up to speak in the future.

I have to take my drug test and do lots of paperwork this week for my new job. I have officially accepted the position. I'm registered for my orientation classes and must take my on-line pre-test. I will be very busy this week. My doctor posted my (current) job on Craigslist and applicants began calling and responding immediately. I suppose I will be training my replacement as early as the end of the week or early next week. I am also doing a candy buffet for a wedding and must organize and get the display together. I will be drinking plenty of water and eating my freggies this week.

  

A Change For The Better

It's so hard to say goodbye! I have had a very challenging year thus far. One year ago, I was stressing over where I would intern at. I successfully completed my internship and have since graduated. I secured a position in a chiropractor's office. It is now time to move on to greater possibilities. I have accepted a job at a hospital as a unit clerk. I'm excited for the change.
