made some bad choices this week

Well, I haven't posted a blog in a long time.
On March 31 I was happy that I was able to lose 4.4 lbs during the month of march. I have been going strong on workouts and doing great. Spring break with the boys has started out on the wrong foot and stressed out. Saturday our plans for the planetarium didn't work out cause when we got there, there was a huge line and they were already sold out. So we changed and got ice cream. BAD CHOICE. I should have skipped it. Then we ended up having pizza for the second time that week, another bad choice. Made puppy chow for the kids treat, with all the stress I have been chowing on that. MORE BAD CHOICES. A couple days ago when I got on the scale I had gained 2 lbs, today I got on it and gained a couple more!!!!! which then in turn I only did one workout (Jillian's ripped in 30 week 3) and did NOT do the iron core kettlebells like I normally do.
And I know I am in for more this week. Thursday we are planning on eating out for lunch (don't know where yet) then to my mom's for dinner and cake, Friday lunch at my mom's, and then more dinner Friday night when Hubby comes home.

At the time I didn't think I was eating that much, but I guess I really was.

    Crap happens. You can do this one day at a time. Plan ahead and don't beat yourself up if things don't go EXACTLY as planned either.

    It happens to the best of us dont worry, I just recently got back on the wagon, I fell off for a while.. You think its bad that you had pizza twice in a week, try 3 times back to back... Yea bad! But all you have to do is push all that to the side, and just get right back into your routine. Stress can get the best of us, and it sucks that one of the things stress can make us do is make us make bad choices, but thats going to happen no matter what. All that matters is you turn it around and just continue moving forward on your journey!

You can do this!

    maybe you fell off the wagon this time, but it doesn't mean you have to stay off of it. Get motivated and jump right in. I know it's hard to make the right choices all the time, but keep in mind your goals and mentally decide if it's alright to have pizza, if you say yes, well then compensate with a walk later on the day, or play outside with your children, be a kid again and enjoy, but don't kick yourself as hard for the bad choices you make, instead learn from them.

3. Since I won't be working anymore, I MAY take my kids more places that would require a bathing suit. (and to fit properly!!!)

4. To fit into the smaller jeans that are still in my closet.

1. Any little gain in the scale, pushes me to keep at it, and not give up.

2. smaller size clothes in my closet that do not fit right now. Especially the slinky blue dress

3. Needing to keep up with my boys!

4. freinds to challenge me to do anything

5. Seeing others suceed.

July 4th Weekend

Well, we did have a family get together on Sunday the 5th for nephews birthday. In the morning we took a 55 min bike ride with the neighbors which I put on my HRM and burned 440 calories, I was pulling my almost 3 year old (35 lbs) in the bike trailer behind my bike. I had salad and watermelon for lunch. Then after lunch I cleaned for at least 30-45 min. For Dinner I ended up having Steak, Sweet corn, Grilled Mixed veggies WHICH I LOVE!!!, Homemade Potato salad, then had birthday bowl surprise for dessert (Cake cut up into pieces, strawberry ice cream, crushed oreo's, frosting mixed all in) And my nephew lit off some fireworks that he got at night. We had a pretty great day, and I am happy that I did pretty good with my food for the day.

The New Year

Well, I can't believe it's the end of 2008!! This year I am going to lose all of these 30 + LBS! Seeing the Joy Fit club person the other day pushed me again. She had lost 140 lbs and is now a size 0, and about 110 lbs.
I did purchase 7 of the Healthy Choice pasta mixers last night to try them out. At least I will have something better for lunches during the New years weekend at home. This year, I need to spend a bit more on fruits to keep in the house. At least I have been able to keep out some of the goodies. I haven't purchased any ice cream (used to have some every night) Not giving into the good deals on other bad treats. Switched to more whole wheat / gran breads. Keep stocking up on the $0 - $.29 frozen steamer veggies bags.

My other goal this year is to pay off the Credit Card and then start paying off hubby's truck. I know I can do it.
