on the walk again!!

I ran into interference and had to discontinue my walking plans due to health reasons. But I'm hoping to get started again. unfortunately I have regained three pounds and I'm sure lost muscle tone I was beginning to build. OH WEll no sense crying over spilled milk!!

So today is the first day of the rest of my life. GODS in my corner. My husband is in my corner what else do I need????????

I've started by walking to the Y, and then walking on the tread mill for 30.00 minutes then walking home. and it's now just 10.00am. Good Start.

I now stretch my calves for two minutes before walking and after, as told too by my podiatrist and again afterwards, I'm to take anti-inflammatory and have special pads in my shoes, so hopefully I'm good to go this time!!

I really need to see weight loss at this point so I'm lowering my calorie intake to 2000- 2100. that should do it. I've taken up snaking on almonds for the fiber and protein, I hope that is an okay move on my part.

Hey Friend,
I know how hard it is to stay on track, after all this is my "Guzilianth" attempt at loosing weight, you don't get to be over weight without trying to loose here and there on the way!! Why is that... you say? Because we instinctively know it's not a "natural state" for the human body to be in.
Those "Guzilianth" other tries are why we know now that "dieting" does not work. What does work how ever, are those instincts that God gave us to know right from wrong and good from bad. We know being overweight IE........" DOWN RIGHT FAT"...... is not how we want to "DO LIFE". Our Spirits are laden down with the burden we carry around 24/7.
OUR SPIRITS, THE MERE ESSENCE OF WHO WE ARE, scream to be FREE. That's why we are here at sparkpeople.com, we can get what we desire right here. NOT JUST A HOKIE DIET, We deserve a LIFE CHANGE.
So you screwed up, So you've been falling off the wagon with your exercise.... we are human, imperfect in most everything we do, that's why its so easy to give up. BUT WE DON"T HAVE TO GIVE UP, not now, not on something so intrinsic to our well being, GET UP AND JUST RESTART RIGHT WERE YOU ARE, RIGHT NOW!!!!
YESTERDAY IS GONE, BUT YOU ARE RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW, SO START WERE YOU ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Great letter to yourself! We've all fallen off the wagon before, but as long as yo get back on it, that's what counts! Good luck to you!

Almond Flax Muffins/Biscuits

Nutritional Info
Fat: 18.0g
Carbohydrates: 5.8g
Fiber: 2.6g
Calories: 197.5
Protein: 6.3g

Ingredients

2 1/4 C almond meal/flour
3 T coconut oil or palm oil
1/8 cup flax meal
1 1/2 t baking powder
1/2 C egg substitute
1/4 t salt
1 T "sweetening power" from artificial sweetener
1/2 C heavy cream
1/2 C other milky liquid - can be unsweetened soy milk, milk, cream, or half and half

Directions

1. Mix oil and almond meal together with a whisk, mixer or pastry blender until it's like coarse meal.
2. Add the rest of the dry ingredients.
3. If you're using liquid artifcial sweetener, put it in with the cream.
4. Mix wet and dry together, and let the mixture sit for 3 to 4 minutes.
5. Drop by tablespoons on foil-covered baking sheet for biscuits. Or fill muffin pan with about 1/4 cup of batter in each muffin spot. (Use muffin baking cups for best results.)
