Perhaps if I admit it in the old blog, it will be properly exorcised and I will be able to successfully fix this. Since I've been dating Jess, I went from gaining 10 pounds, to 20 pounds, to 30 ...and this morning scale, which may be a bit off because of my current mid-periodness - said 40 LBS, I went from 309) to as low as 195-ish - and this morning 235 lbs. Efffff.
I know I'm beautiful. I know I don't need to (actually no, I don't know I don't need to, I know I need to, but Jess keeps telling me that I don't need to and I'm beautiful and all that wonderful stuff) but I really hate that I had lost all that weight, and slowly in the past year, I've let my weight creep back up with bad eating and not working out.
Jess and I joined a gym yesterday (note: Jess is 5 foot 8 inches and maybe has gone up to 130 lbs with a full tummy, she wants to gain more muscle, get more fit, not lose weight), and she won me a Gazelle in an auction ("as part of my christmas gifts) (I really did get spoiled). I need to get back to going a bare minimum of twice a week. I need to use the gazelle multiple times a week. I need to stop eating second helpings of pasta at her parents house. I need to have one desert, not three. NO MORE TABLE CHOCOLATES (her parents house, which since Jess lives there, I am there religiously during the weekend, always has chocolates on the table in the living room, oh gods.) I need to go back to tracking my food and exercise, it was tedious, but it worked. I'm disappointed in myself for letting this happen and now I have to fix it, again.
Let me find my weight-loss zen again.

I went on the scale today, curious to see my weight (has been goofy due to joining the gym and my period) and to my surprise, it told me exactly what equals to 120 lbs lost! Oh hecks yeah!
.... Now this weekend is my birthday weekend, hopefully I will maintain this!

OMG. This is my biggest beef about SparkPeople's blogging style -- many a times have I written an entry and then I'm nearly done and it freezes / disapears / goes away to the land of unicorns. I seriously detest the pop-up screens. UGH!
SO! I will not do a big photo post.
Which I just spent major time making.

SO, here is the jist of it:
I am not MIA from SP --- I'm just AWOL --- I log-in when I've lost weight (I'm dancing around 194) to change my weight-tracker, and I randomly check out blogs to find some inspiration now and again. But the amount of time it would take to make a nice structured blog entry, I spend walking, treadmilling, working, cleaning, hanging out with friends. I'm living life.
I just joined the YMCA this past Friday --- I`ve been surviving on my excercise being walking with the dog and using my parents treadmill 2-3 times a week since this past winter - but I need something new, more stuff, and need to really work on building more muscle in my arms (I can fly! I`ve got wings!) - so I`ll be going on my days off and then once midweek before I head home from work.
My previous attempt at blogging, had 7 or so photos in it, but I`m not even going to bother, so here are the two you get - this horrible, photo which is from May 2009 - a year before I started my journey ---

I kicked ass this week pound loss-wise this week. I can't give the full tally as I left my tracking book at the parents house on Thursday night by accident, but I did a total of 3 hours on the treadmill for the week, went for one walk that lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes, plus biked at least 3 times this week to and from work (18 minutes each way).
I also had sweet potato fries and eggplant parmasean on Saturday night, Golden Corral buffet on Monday afternoon and (veggie) sushi and tempura on monday night (thus had to call a friend and say HAI lets go for a long walk hahah)
and despite the food orgies..
I LOST 4.2 LBS THIS WEEK! OMG!
BUT WAIT... the cherry on the top? I am now just 4.6 lbs pounds away from being in Onederland / having lost 110 lbs lost.
I have my fingers crossed that I may be able to accomplish this in the next two weeks but I will be ok if it doesn't --- but I really do want to be under 199.8 for Pride (first weekend of July)
Of course I took a photo of it! I am now beyond how light I got when I lost my weight back in 2003. I had lost down to 208 (hurray for me having an old fitday acct I can remember the login info for to be able to verify this) --- near the crossing line to onederland. When I started this 105 lbs ago, 199 was SO FRICKEN far away and now its a few hours on the treadmill and a few bike rides to and from work away. EEEE!
Love how skinny the legs are looking (there is still lots of fat, but I'm not about to photograph that :P)
This is from 2 weeks ago, love this new shirt, love the slim-ness (I'm clearly not one of those fat people who won't show their arms, hhahaaha)

When I had lost 49 lbs, I never rounded up, and when I had lost 98.2 lbs, I never rounded up so let me first say: WOO HOO! I am safely past 100 lbs pounds lost now!
YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY! YAY!
May 19, 2010, the day after my moms birthday I started keeping track of my food, WW style. I did not have my license yet, and biked most days (only did not if the weather did not permit it - biking to work is 20 minutes at a steady pace. Also, much to my friends torture I added going for hour long walks with a minimum goal of 3 hours accumlative per week with quite a few weeks being a total of 6-7 hours worth of walking. October we tried out a yoga place that opened up near my house (which I just found out is closing NEXT MONTH :( ) and in Janurary I gifted myself a 20 class pass for it so I could go to hot yoga regularly on Saturday mornings (loved it, especially on the cold winter days) This winter my parents bought themselves a treadmill and its safe to say they'll never get amount of hours in on it that I have. I use their treadmill on Saturdays, Mondays if I'm there and then I come over on Wednesdays after work and use it again. I first started with 40 minutes, going 3.2 mph to 4mph walking with no incline, now I have stepped up to going an hour, going an average of 3.2 to 4 mph with varying inclines that usally average to 8% ,,. for some reason my mom doesn't want to hug me after I've done that for an hour..... something about the sweat just dripping off of me. HAH!
Did you notice the complete lack of mentioning of a gym membership? Yes. Now, you may want to count yoga since it is an establishment I went to and paid money for classes for - but otherwise, come on, I just proved that one can lose major weight without stepping in a gym! BOOYA.
As mentioned in the first paragraph, my yoga place is closing, and the owner is recommending a new place opening up thats going to have yoga, spinning, and other things I can't remember right now - which is cool --- except its on the other side of town! We'll see, I may chose to try that come Autumn, maybe.

I have gone without a proper camera since our vacation in October, shortly after Asheville, my camera died so I've been taking photos via my android phone. For the wedding I had my moms camera and I bought a new one (Canon elph 100) as this past Sunday. Tis the season being summer I *NEED* a camera especially when Toronto Pride is a month away, def. want a camera then, The weirdest thing for ME is seeing new photos and going DAMN MY FRAME IS NARROW. Not so wide (thought I still have plenty of belly fat and thigh fat to go, lemme tell ya) but DAMN, look! ...
Yes a classy drinking photo! but come on, look how skinny I look! haha. Don't you worry, I used my two drink tickets and then I was done drinking for the evening - and hey! that drink matched mydress!!!!
SO here is my update, now I have to get ready for work --- boo hoo! At least the weekend is upon us!
