Hope you all had a nice Mother's Day.
I did. A pretty perfect, sunny, Sunday.
Tomorrow is weigh in day for me, and even though I don't have a good sense of whether or not I will see a loss, I'm not terribly concerned about it... For the first time in my adult life, I am just not stressing about that number. I feel like I am going steadily in the right direction, eating well 90% of the time, and exercising more consistently than ever before. What could be better?
I think I just realized it this minute, but I'm not afraid of the scale any more! That makes this a unique Mother's Day for me indeed.

Shopped a bit
Ate half a donut
Sat in the sun for a little while
Cooked a tasty dinner
Chatted, with my best friend
Knitted on a sweater for a friend
Watched a pretty good movie
Still to come; a good night's sleep
Stellar day in my book.

I have been thinking and thinking about what my May goals are. I have lots of little goals that I could write down, but they won't end in May, or change at the end of a challenge. If I don't achieve a goal, I won't forget about it, or take it off my list.
Each of my little goals are stops along the way, all heading toward the same ultimate goal. So, I guess, what I really have is one - singular - measurable - life permeating - goal that everything else falls under.
This year I would like to go to bed on New Years Eve and not make that dreaded promise to myself before I go to sleep. You know the one I mean?
The one that goes "Tomorrow, I am going on a diet. I am going to give up all the "bad foods" and only eat "healthy foods." Tomorrow I'll start exercising, regularly. Tomorrow I am going to get healthy once and for all."
My goal is to be a healthy, physically fit, active person, who is happy with how I feel, inside and out, when I go to sleep at night.
I am well on my way there now, thanks to SP and all of my friends here. I really think I am going to make it in 2012 - so that is my goal for May, and June, and July, and August.....
