Besides the usual work day, I worked out for over an hour, drove to my MiL's to pick up a sweater I am remaking for her, shopped for and cooked 12 meals with my son, tried a new SP recipe ( loved it) did 2 loads of laundry, and added about 6 inches on a project I have on my needles.
And in my spare time I poked around SP and earned 100 points!
All in all not a bad day.

Yup...I am a runner.
Today I ran 4 miles in 54 minutes, on my treadmill, and I enjoyed it!
For most "good" runners, that would seem no big deal.... but for me that is a MAJOR accomplishment.
So as of today, I am calling it official. I am a runner. I am an under-tall, over-weight, chronologically challenged runner. But a runner, just the same!

Today was like a recovery day. It felt so good to be back on track nutrition and exercise-wise. Our weekend guests left yesterday, and I was so ready to get back to my routine.
I was even able to get some knitting done, which I have been ignoring for about a week.
I am waiting to hear back from Key as to how to start the new challenge. I think she may be away, because I haven't heard from her In several days. Hopefully she will be back soon.
Either way I think we can start our new "Healthy Habits" challenge any time, and keep it going as long as we want.
I'll keep the team posted. Let me know if you have any other ideas, or want to add to our first challenge, and we'll get it listed as soon as we can.
Keep the Spark burning!

Today is the day I begin to recover from the 3-day weekend of "slipping" on my food choices.
Maybe as a healthy lifestyle challenge we can start a thread where we keep each other accountable for starting and continuing a long-term exercise streak.
I'll put together some guidelines and post something this afternoon - maybe shoot for 30 days to start, and then see how long we can go along unbroken.

Today wasn't much better than yesterday in terms of food choices for me, but I did get out and walk for quite a while.
I spent some time thinking about ideas for new challenges too though.
One of the things I would like to do is follow TMCLs suggestion that we come up with some health challenges, that aren't necessarily weight-loss focused. Thanks for the good idea T.
One idea is to ask each team member to define their own health goal, and track and discuss it on the boards. This could give others ideas that can be shared and cross over from member to member.
My own challenge is to be more consistent with my dietary intake. While I am usually close to my calorie goal, I am almost always heavy on fats and light on carbs.
I would like to work on being more balanced in this area.
What do you all think? Can you each come up with a personal challenge? Would you be willing to share your progress?
