Maintaning Weight for the Most Part

I am pretty much maintaining my weight but I really want to get down to my original goal again. I am snacking too much. Some of my pants are too tight and I really need to get back into them with comfort. On my 3 days off I walk the neighborhood in the morning before it gets too hot. I go twice around but I need to extend that to maybe three times. Sometimes I do this at night on the days I work. Jim got new teeth at the end of June so we haven't been eating out. You would think I would have lost some weight. NOOOO!!!! We watch Briana on Monday and she gives me a good workout. It's got to be the snacking at work and I am drinking to many Diet Pepsi's.

    Just stick to it!!!
I did read one day that diet drinks may trick the body into thinking it is something sweet, so I never drink more than one a day. Sometimes I have a Crystal Light, forgetting that would do the same. You are making me realize I need to stick to plain water and quit putting sweetener in my tea.
Isn't is funny how we have our eyes opened by reading someone else's blog???

    Don't discount the fact that your maintaining. That's a big deal!

I can relate to the slow progress on losing, but just stick with it. Maybe joining Julie's September challenge will help!

It's the weekend again

Well I'm so discouraged. Those blasted scales aren't helping me any. I'm up two lbs from last week. It's that yoyo but this week it didn't go down. I am determined to work this out. I have been drinking more soda's at work. I have decided to use those GV Drink mixes instead of soda, plain water gets old, although I will still have my 64 oz of water sitting at my desk to sip all day. My routine is changing as well. Jim is having to go back to 5- 8 hr days at work. This will give me time on Monday to do house cleaning so I don't have to do so much the rest of the week. The new work out schedule made me have to change my work schedule as well. I'm so glad we have this flex time at work. I can cram 40 hrs into 4 days and still get off at 2 on Fridays I'm an early morning person so I go to work as early as I can. Last night I did some stuff on the Wii It was fun. I'm not only working my body I'm also working my mind. I was a drum majorette, I had to listen to the beat so my marching was in time while at the same time trying to hit the things when the reach a certain point. I was getting pretty good. I did this for about 15 min, and the games will tell you how many cal you burn, i burn 13 each time i played but i think is it it better each time so i thinking is should have burned more cal. Well i'm writing a book so i will stop for now. i need to ride my bike before jim gets up

    Interesting blog! Lots of my friends enjoy Wii as do my grandkids. I have been tempted to purchase one, but haven't yet.
With all your ambition, the weight will soon start back down.

    That WII sounds fun. I don't have it. Keep working at it and you will begin to lose again. You have done so well. I'm about to go ride my bike. Mother has started riding her stationary bike. She was excited to ride 30 minutes the other day. Wishing you a great weekend.

I don't like the yoga workouts

This morning was yoga and core. I really don't understand the yoga except we do end up balancing. This is always troublesome be cause of how I have always had trouble with the legs. I afraid that I will fall. I don't know why, my legs are getting stronger with every workout. We do the superman standing on one leg. I do this better on my right than my left and it is my right ankle that gives me fits. (go figure). Jim is really helping me with this. He went to the store yesterday to get what we need for Taco Salad (made with deer meat) and brought back some ice cream but it was no fat and no sugar added. I think he is also trying to eat better (for the most part) but doesn't want to admit it. He always says that he needs to start working out on the weights but he hasn't done it yet. I have set Sunday's as no work out day. I did good with my eating yesterday.

    Hi Sister! My Jim is helping me, too. He eats out at lunch with the guys and I don't have to make much for dinner. Most of the time he just says he'll find something later.

My depression has passed and I'm well on my way to re-losing all the weight I gained while I struggled just to try to be happy. I've lost 6 pounds this month, but still have 10 to go just to get back to my lowest weight so far. I hate that I had such a major setback, but it is what it is and I'm working on it. I may put my weight tracker back up on my page when I get back to 157.

I've been riding my bike 30 minutes every day and doing either upper or lower body ST. I'm pushing myself on the upper body ST and now the 12 pound weights are barely a challenge.

I guess that's all I have for now. I'm going to catch up on my Soaps before going up to the workout room for exercise. I have to push the cardio today because I had a candy bar after working my first store. We don't carry any good tasting protein bars, so I had a Payday. At least it has some protein....LOL!

    I do love yoga, although I quit when my carpal tunnel was so bad, and haven't re-started... Guess I should think about it - as long as I don't skip my other workouts, it can only help. I have real balance problems, so it helps me a lot. But I don't do some of the hard stuff, that's for sure!

    I HATED my first Yoga classes! I stopped going, but found some thigs about Yoga that I did like, and gradually built up a collection of favorite poses. I recently went back to classes, and now love them. You can read my blog YOGA to hear about my experiences with it. There is also a OMY (One Minute Yoga) team here on SP that gives you one pose a day to do for 30 seconds to a minute. With balance poses, I focus on a spot on the wall, it helps me concentrate, and I do them off the mat. You WILL get stronger!

    Its wonderful that your DH supports you on your journey as my DH also supports me. He always says he needs to workout also but hasen't done it yet. It sounds as though you are doing well with your fitness even though you don't care for the yoga. My daughter said that she didn't care for yoga a first either but she said after awhile she learned to love it. Have a great week and continued success. emoticon emoticon

Serious about more weight loss

I am now ready to loose 15-16 more lbs. I just hope I can do it. I just need to make the time to log my food. I only gained 4lbs over the holidays and have already lost those. We got a WII for Christmas and I have a couple of just workout programs plus a sports program but this is another thing I need to find time for. Between now and spring break in March the workout class I am taking is meeting 3 mornings a week instead of 2. (at 5 a.m.) before class I try to use the elip (don't know how to spell it off the top of my head) It's the only thing I don't have at home. Jim also gave me some workout stuff for Christmas (a ball and 2lb weight balls) I didn't want to tell him that I use 5 to 8 lbs weights in class. I have some ankle/wrist weights I can use with them and it will make 7lbs. Well, I guess that is all for now. Just wish me luck. Pardon the style of my writing. I have to find ways to be quick. I need to go workout!!!!
