Couch to 5k - Week 6, day 3

And... week 6 is down. Today hasn't been a good day for me. My mood has been particularly low; I didn't want to get out of bed. I was really upset about being out of bed when I did get out of bed. I haven't accomplished half of the small tasks that I had planned....

But I managed to drag myself over to the trail and talk myself through a 25 minute run! The last 10 minutes were rough, but not impossible. It was easy enough to talk myself through them, and I felt really great when I was done. I'm glad I did it. Now I'm going to go clean the kitchen and bake myself a quiche.

    Way to go, girl! I felt the same way as you did earlier today...all I wanted was a NAP, but I dragged myself to the gym instead. Now that I finished the 25-min run, I feel much more energized! Hooray for us. :)

C25k - Week 6, day 2

Well... another day of week 6 down. Hurrah! For some reason, I found the intervals yesterday tough. I don't know if it was the change in the weather or I was just having a low day, or if it was the way the run was broken down. But... I did it, and I'm feeling really good about myself. I can't believe that I finish week 6 on Saturday. Wow.

I'm officially moving in to week 6. Today wasn't as hard as I expected, and it was actually easier than Week 5, day 3. What a nice way to ease into the 25 minute run. I can't wait until Saturday when I get to try my hand at 25 minutes!

This are going really well. I hope the scale tells me good things on Sunday. But even if it doesn't, I'm feeling great about my choices and I'm seeing results in other areas (energy, mood, inches, clothes)!


C25k Week 5, Day3

Day 3 of week 5 - done! I ran 20 minutes without taking a SINGLE BREAK! I can't believe it, but then, I can believe. I'm finally comfortable calling myself a runner. Dude! I'm a runner! I'm so much less intimidated by the end of the C25k program than I was when I started. This is so exciting.

Today is weigh-in day. I've been feeling fantastic about myself and my choices: energized, feeling strongly, etc. I measured myself today. In the last 3 weeks, I lost 2 inches off my waist, 1.5 inches off my hips, and a half inch off my neck. Hopefully the scale tells me good news.

C25k Week 5, day 2

Another day of the Couch to 5k program down. Yay me! I'm now pushing into territory that I've never been in before and feeling great. Saturday is the 20 minute run. I'm nervous. I'm excited. I can't wait to try!
