One Hour Runner - Week 5, Day 1

The old faithful 30 minute. In the rain no less. It was still a very nice run. I did the entire thing without a bottle of water too. I was kind of proud of myself. Now that I'm back indoors, I'm guzzling the water like crazy. But, it's nice not to have to juggle the water bottle. I have a feeling that I'll need the water bottle for the 38 minute run thought...

In other news, my boyfriend has been talking off and on these last two weeks about losing some weight. I think I mentioned it in an earlier blog post. He keeps bringing it up enough, that I think he might actually be willing to start trying programs. (He's got a bit of a buddha belly at the moment... it's cute, but growing). We'll see. I'd like a fitness buddy. Actually... I'd like him to stop smoking and drinking soda like it's water. But, baby steps. Slow changes are key, as I know so well.

All right! Down 1 more pound. Not only did I succeed in jumping right back into my running program last night, but I'm down near the weight I was before the holidays started. A little over 10 pounds to go to my goal weight. I did 18 pounds last year before the holidays, I can do 10 pounds before the fall this year.

Two weeks of loss in a row after two months of the up and down game is very heartening.

The program for One Hour Runner week 5 is 30-32-38.

One Hour Runner - Week 4, Day 3

Finished my 34 minute run today - very very pleased with myself.

Also, did the following strength training exercises:

Wall push-ups: 2 sets of 15 reps
Lying tricep lifts: 2 sets of 15 reps
Boxer: 2 sets of 15 reps
Isometric Bicep towel-hold: 1 set
Isometric Should towel-hold: 1 set

Ok, time to go shower off the running yuck and then to cook dinner (Tortilla Espaņola), and some hard core studying to work out the brain.
