So I have been struggling with binging due to stress for the last couple months and even though I have wanted to LOSE I have been packing on the lbs. But I am SLLLOOWLY gaining control... as in there have been two days this week (including today) that I have not gone over 2k calories...... wish me luck...... i "think" I am finally getting it !!

    I'm over my calorie goal almost every day, but not over 2K. I find that drinking about a gallon of water everyday make me feel full all the time. I know exactly what you mean about the emotional eating. The first step is to recognize that you are eating because you WANT to, not because your stomach is hungry and NEEDS to. Then you can make a choice about what, when, how much. I struggle with the emotional eating every day. It happens with just about every negative emotion you can imagine. One think I've noticed is that all the spark people are very positive. The more you visit the site, the more inspiration, motivation, and positive feedback you will get. Keep checking back!!!     I've been there too this week. Over my cals. It's a struggle but we can do it! Soon those two days a week will become one day a week which will become one day a month and so on.

Keep keeping on because you can do it!

    There is a saying that goes..."You never fail until you stop trying" or something like that?? So just take it one day at a time and don't beat yourself up (EVER) if you take a few steps back. More sayings he he. "Rome wasn't built in a day"

I seem to constantly fall right off of the wagon...
I am now realizing how much of an emotional eater I am. I recieved some VERY dissapointing news yesterday and was suprised that I didnt really feel that upset or sad about it......
but when I got home I binged and binged and binged. ( I gain 6 lbs)
I am thinking that I have a hard time feeling emotions.... and try to eat them away.... I really need to figure out a way of stopping this......
I try to , when I catch myself in a binge, to binge on only fruits and vegis... This limits the calorie intake SOME but I have normally scarfed away quite a bit of food before I realize what is going on. And I dont want to just put a bandaid on the issue..... I want to fix it.
