Orientation Meeting...

So tonight is orientation meeting for WLS. This will be the second time I went to this meeting I am hoping that I don't need to start all over again but will do what I need to because I am so tired of not doing it and just talking about it. I am still smoke free and will be starting to train with the hubby he would like to teach me how to kickbox and box. Which I think is great because not only will I be getting a good workout so won't he and maybe this will help him quite smoking. I went to a breakfast meeting and nothing was appealing thank goodness I knew that there was a yummy corn muffin at work waiting for me. Plus a awesome pork sandwich which I made last night for lunch.

So I know I only started smoking about 6-8 months ago. But I couldn't take it anymore! My acid reflux was out of control and last night was the first night that I didn't have it! My lungs don't hurt anymore when I breathe ( I smoked menthol) I will also try more exercise next week by then it should be a little more easier. Plus I have the orientation meeting next week for WLS and they won't even consider doing anything if you smoke.

that I walked so much I have walked since saturday 7.5 hrs. I had this all weekend confernece for work and the first day I walked around fo 3.5 hr and the other is 2 hrs per day maybe more. Although I did well I cheated a bit to much this weekendknowing damn well I can't have sugar. I am going to test myself and see what it is. But at least I can say it is no way as much as I used to eat.

    that's all that counts. i used to be the biggest sugar freak. coffee with sugar all day at work and then when i got home, it was sweet tea for the rest of the night. i've been using splenda since the first of the year and i don't even miss the sugar. even if i find a sweet (ice cream) to give in to my cravings, i make sure it's sweetened with splenda. way to go with the walks. my wife and i are starting to walk every other day. the other days, we have a recumbant bike to ride. best of luck to you and keep up the good work. -Brad

So today was one of my better days when I was tempted and did not let it win! One of my co workers stopped by my favorite bakery and picked up some of my favorite sweets and I didn't have one bite and made sure I had someone take the rest home.....

So today for the first time in I can't even count how long I feel good. Not tired, no tummy ache, no dragging and alert. Why I went so long taking such horrible care of myself I will bever know but there is no looking back because now this id for me and no one else. Most likely I failed so many times before because I always did it for everyone and everything else besides me emoticon
