I'm finally back!

I know I have been pretty absent from SparkPeople. My life has been crazy. On September 18, my family and I returned from a 3 week trip to Europe. We took all 4 of our children with us. It was fantastic! I didn't neglect fitness while we were there, but I did enjoy the food! We walked 8-10 miles nearly every day. I lost about 5 pounds.
It's been very busy since I returned home. My garden is producing like crazy and all the farm work needs done. My youngest two-highschoolers-have been working to get their missed school work caught up.
To keep myself exercising, I signed up for a local 5K next weekend. I ran 2 miles a couple days ago and need to run a few more times before next Saturday. My daughter's upcoming birthday next month adds to the craziness, since we are having two parties-one for family & friends and later a sleepover with her friends. I better stop for now. I just wanted to check in with everyone.

Doing better

I think I've finally gotten back into the fitness habit. Yesterday at my son's track meet, I walked all around the perimeter of the field and parking lot several times. It ended up being at least 2 miles. I'm planning on doing something else today. I didn't want to just sit around while I was waiting for him to run in his first event. I figure if my kids are active enough to participate in track, I need to be doing something too!

    The hardest part in exercising to me is getting started. Once I start making myself before long I want to, so just make that first move and push yourself out there, before long you will be looking forward to it!

Back in Focus

Finally got back in the daily exercise groove. I can tell how out of shape I am. Everything I do brings on sore muscles. I've been eating healthier foods and feel much better for it. I slipped up last night and this afternoon and binged on salty, buttery popcorn. That is my main vice. I have a hard time stopping and many times will eat the whole big bowl. I did better this time, but better stay away from it for a while. Did the 15 ab video on sp today, as well as 20 pushups and 45 minutes on my stair stepper. I've done the ab video 3 times this week along with other exercise. Don't know why I can't stick with all of this when it makes me feel good. I always seem to slip up and now some of the weight I lost has crept back on. I'm going to keep at it so I can lose that weight again and keep the scale moving downward. Don't know what I would do without sp. The support I receive on here really keeps me going.

Determined to change!

Went to my nephew's wedding in Georgia and got way off track again. Determined to get some good exercise in today. I am so tired of sitting in a vehicle. We drove all the way home in one day. Too many hours of sitting. One thirty am is not my idea of bed time. I will probably be tired all week. I am getting my eating habits back in line. Did better yesterday and plan to do the same today. I can tell I haven't been exercising and need to correct that.

Back to it again

Glad to be back to working toward my goals again. Last month was not the best for me. I was sick for two weeks and had some serious emotional stress. I'm determined that this month will be a different story. I'm glad to have good friends to listen to me and support me. SP has been great for this too!
I'm back on track again with exercise and eating habits. My muscles didn't take long to remember what they are supposed to do, though they've been sore to begin with. I'm gradually getting back to the level I left last month. Hope everyone else is doing well. Thanks for the support.
