Positive time of Day

The best part of my day yesterday was curling up on the couch with my chihuahua and an afghan, watching Biggest Loser and texting with DD3 (who is away at college) about the show. It is really ccccold here in Chicago.

Favorite Foods

My favorite salty snack is kettle corn. I used to eat the entire bag but now I only have 1 cup (most times). The calories aren't that high, but the fat will kill ya!

Favorite sweet snack-definitely anything chocolate. My favorite is the dark chocolate Lindt Lindor truffle. There was a time when I could eat 6 at a time. That's about 660 calories! Now I will eat just 1 and that will satisfy my sweet tooth.

Favorite breakfast is plain crepes with maple syrup and bacon and a couple of cups of french vanilla coffee. Yummy.

For breakfast now, I eat cereal or oatmeal. Exciting.

    Lindt - I like their dark chocolate squares, but the truffles have too much cream for my taste buds (not a dairy fan at all!) - but I have to say, I like the Belgian chocolate truffles that some local small companies make. :) Yummy. But definitely a very occasional treat now. :)

Bacon? My absolute favourite. Where's my share? :)

    WOWIE! 110 calories for ONE mouthful?!!? We need to find something that takes a LONG time to eat for that amount of calories! My DH brought a fruit basket home once with some of those Lindt candies and they ARE so mmmm good!
Hey, oatmeal can be exciting! Sometimes I'll have it with fresh frozen raspberries, but mostly I have it with walnuts, raisins, cinnamon and organic brown sugar ... mmmm.

Wow, I am just pathetic. I have got to get back in the saddle again. This might help...DH says he needs to lose 15 lbs. I helped him set up his program with Sparkpeople. He is a pretty healthy eater, but he needs to exercise. That will be the hard part. He would rather be in the garage working on his car. LOL

And hubby working on his car? You mean he doesn't squat up and down all the time while he's doing that? :)

Actually, if he's on board with the working out, it could work out well for BOTH of you to have each other for support and accountability! That may just be the extra zing you need!

I'm seesawing between too many and too few calories, myself - and my macro-nutrients are out of whack most days. Oh, well, it's still not adding on the pounds overnight, so I'm not going to complain too much.

Good work on the water and protein! AND the cardio! Yay, you!
