I took my first group exercise class tonight. I decided to start with Step & Core. It was a lot of fun and everyone seemed very welcoming. I admit that I was a little out of sync (ok, A LOT out of sync) but the important thing is I didn't stop moving. Even if I was doing the wrong thing or on the wrong foot, I didn't stop and I didn't quit. I am sure I looked like quite the fool, but I was having an awesome time and getting my heart rate up, so in the end that is what matters!!
Next week, on Tuesday, I am going to try an interval class.
Oh, and to make this day even more awesome, I won a gift basket at the gym. I bought some chances to benefit the Joyce Murtha Breast Cancer Foundation, and I actually won! It is a lunch bag and water bottle and some other funky stuff. I was pretty excited! I bought the chances because I always support stuff like that, and I actually won.. wow
I decided to go for it and buy some Mary Kay Skin care finally. I thought I would try it out and see how it works.
All in all, today was an awesome day!!

I keep saying that I am going to take a group exercise class and I never do. Tonight I printed out the schedule and have found a few classes that work into my schedule, but I am not sure what one I want to take...
-- I have considered this on several occasions, but have not because I am afraid I will hurt myself. I need to get over that fear.
2. Interval Step (Tuesday) or Interval Cardio (Thursday)
-- I am not sure what these classes are, but they might be fun>
3. Step & Core
--- I thought this might be a good one since I have such poor core strength?
I have it figured out that I can take 1 class per week on either Tuesday or Thursday. One week I am off Tuesday, and One week I am off Thursday, so I can alternate it. I am not sure which class I want to go to. I thought about trying them all out to see which one I like the best.
Saving Money $$$$$
I keep telling myself that I need to put back $100 a pay check ($200 a month) in my savings account so I can go on a great shopping spree once I get to goal weight. I have about $650 put back, but I should have a lot more. I need to be more wise with my money... I keep saying that, and I don't follow through with it because I always find something I "need" -
I keep telling myself I am going to spend the money on some good skin care products and start trying to get my skin back into nice shape. I have failed miserably at that. That also is directly related to the above mentioned... spending money on skin care as opposed to saving...
Yes, I am going to call my surgeon's office tomorrow and see if they can recommend a counslor. I notice some of my old patterns starting to emerge now that I am further out from surgery and closer to my goal. I'll be damned if I am going to let them get the best of me! I figure it is time to talk to someone who might be able to help me figure those issues out.
Yes, I have been meeting with a trainer, but I need to get serious about my strength training. I could really kick my own ass for not working on it since I started this journey, but I so easily got sucked into the cardio trap and was having so much fun with it, that ST just went to the wayside. Plus the fact I hate doing it, doesn't help.

I took measurements today, and I am quite pleased with the results.
I am sure that the more strength training I do, the more these will go down. Still, I don't think that is too shabby!!!
The East Coast is set to get hit with a large storm. I personally think people are in a panic over nothing. At least in the area that I live in. I am prepared though. I have my Nook fully charged and my laptop is also charged. If we lose power I will be able to read and watch movies. When the battery on my Nook starts to die, I have a car charger... not sure about the laptop tho?
I am a little worried about my Jeep. I am not sure if we are going to get winds like they say, but if we do, my Jeep needs to be garage kept since it is a rag top. The good news is, my employer has a huge garage where they work on trucks, so, the shop foreman said I can park it in an unused bay.
I can't believe that I am only 6 pounds away from losing 100 pounds... I am still having a hard time wrapping my head around that.
Today is a lazy day. I am hanging out on the couch watching Twilight doing nothing. Well... ok, I have laundry in, but that really doesn't take a lot of effort. I will make pasta later on for work lunches for Monday and Tuesday but not until much later on tonight.
It is supposed to be horrible out tomorrow and I have a full day. I meet my trainer at 11, then 1230 I have to go to the doctor to get a few injections, and finally at 1530 I have an eye appointment. I figure I will do a little shopping in between. Then I have to work all night. It is going to be a long day!!
