My Boyfriend's Jeans

Friday, October 12, 2012

I decided to wear my Boyfriend's jeans today. They are pretty comfy. I am pretty happy I can get them on. They are a size 34/30. Pretty please indeed.

My boyfriend and I went to Wendy's for lunch today. I got a 1/2 size baja salad, no dressing, no guac. Then, I only ate 1/2 of that. I have to say... it was pretty awesome tasting! It made a nice, filling breakfast!

I am really looking forward to the Breast Cancer Walk I am doing tomorrow with my co-workers. It is 3 miles and it is going to be great!

Not much else to report. I am going to go through all of the new TV shows for this fall and make a list of those I would like to start watching.

I think that is all for now

My New Trainer

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

I met with my new trainer today for my assessment, and I have to say I am quite excited to start working with her. Basically, it was almost like an interview. She was interviewing me to find out my fitness level, my goals, and so forth, and I was interviewing her to see her ideas on how to help me meet those goals.

We talked a lot about what I expected. I told her that I am not so worried about my lower body as I work that pretty hard with biking, elliptical and walking. My main focus is really my upper body including my core.

Apparently, she is a distance (endurance) runner so that works out perfect for me.

My first goal, is to actually go back to elementary school, and do the Presidential Physical Fitness test and pass it. Mostly so I can mentally tell my bi*ch gym teacher that used to refer to me as "chubby" and "porker" that I can do it and she can sit on it! I hated her. You know, it was her that caused me to hate physical activity so much. Oh well... I guess what goes around comes around because karma bit her in the tookiss.

My trainer is also very familiar with the Mud on the Mountain race I want to do. She was actually trying to get me to do it next month with the group from the gym, but I am not ready and plus, I have to work... so I will prepare for May.

I think I am really going to like it. The best part about it is, you pay per session. It is just like paying for a haircut. There are no contracts or anything associated with it. I like that idea a lot. I booked her for each Monday the rest of the month. I feel confident that we are going to make great progress!

I think that is all for now

Good luck with the trainer. If she's worth her salt, she'll have you crying during your very first workout.

Who is wearing a size 12 Jeans? This girl!

Monday, October 08, 2012

After the thrill of being able to wiggle into my high school Calvin Kleins, I decided to go shopping for a few new items.

None of my clothes fit. The hand-me-down jeans my aunt gave me are starting to get too big. They are size 14.

I went to Fashion Bug and guess what? I bought 2 pair of size 12 pants! I haven't worn that size since high school! I was sooooo excited. I was dancing in the dressing room!

I also bought a great tunic sweater, a v-neck sweater, and layered look shirt, compression leggings, socks, gym pants, hello kitty underoos, boots and some lunch meat and soup. All in all it was a very productive shopping trip.

Oh, and as a reward for being able to buy smaller clothes, not only did I buy the clothes, I also bought an awesome Hello Kitty hat.

I am going to volunteer at the library tomorrow, and then go for a bike ride. I bought an awesome new hat and gloves that are designed for athletic activity outdoors in the cold weather. So, i think that will make my ride a little warmer.

I baked two pans of brownies today for the volunteers at the library. Walmart is sending a crew of their employees who have volunteered for the project to us in order to help get some handy things done. They are putting a bathroom in and everything for is. It is great!

I went to the doctors today, and she said she didn't even recognize me. She could not be happier with my progress. I am deficient in B12 though, so I got an injection. I go to see the surgeon on Wednesday and see what they have to say.

I didn't lose a lot of weight this week... only 0.2 pounds, but that could be because for the last three days I have ate chili and haven't had a BM. I could be bloated from all of the fiber from the beans. Who knows... I am going to wait a few days and weigh again and see whats up.

I think that is all for now

The Epic Journey to Save Middle Earth with Mitt Romney

Wednesday, October 03, 2012

I am continuing my Lord of the Rings marathon tonight. I figured it was a good night to do it. There isn't anything I want to watch on TV any way... I do intend on watching the Presidential Debate, but that hasn't started yet. Of course, we all know what is going to happen... I will see Mitt Romney on tv, then when i sleep tonight, I will have a whacked out sex dream with him in it. It never fails. He won't get out of my head! You think he would at least put some clothes on while he violates my sleep!

In other news, I managed to pull it off today. I went directly from a 12 hour over night shift at work to the gym, worked out HARD for 50 mins, came home, got ready and went to the library to volunteer the rest of the day. I only made it until about 1:30 until I started to nod off in the chair. I can home and got the laundry started and chores done. I did doze off for about half an hour but I intend on going to bed at a decent time so I can get up early tomorrow and exercise before I go to meet friends.

It is amazing how exercise has become the part of my day that I look forward to. I really enjoy it! I FINALLY have an appointment with a trainer next Wednesday at 11 after my doctor's appointment. I don't know if we are going to do actual training or what, but I am looking forward to getting this ball rolling. Like I said in a previous blog, I think because I have concrete goals, training is going to be easier. I don't think it will be physically easier, quite the contrary, but I think it will be easier for my trainer to develop a program for me to follow.

Tomorrow I am meeting friends for dinner. It is Marc's birthday and we are going to Outback with his mom and dad. I already have a menu plan in place (6oz sirloin and steamed veggies) so I feel confident in going out. We are going to go back to Marc's place after for cake. He requested an Angel Food cake, so that is easy enough. I haven't decided if I will have any or not. We will see when the time comes.

Not much else to report. My cat is hanging out on the couch beside me and he is all cute and fat and happy. I don't know where Lucy kitten is... she likes to lay under the bed.

I think that is all for now

I came home from trivia to find the channel I was recording the debate on entirely black. Don't know how much I got or if I even care. Happy to report I NEVER dream about Mitt Romney! Love those cute, fat, happy cats!
