I called the Chiropractor today only to find out the office is closed until the 28th. He must be on vacation. *SIGH*

My back is really hurting. As much as I hated to do it, I took the day off from riding because of how much it hurt. I took the day off from pretty much everything because of how much it hurts. I hate to do it. I am really bummed out I didn't get to ride today. I am bummed out I didn't really get to do anything today. I figure it is better taking a few days off then to really hurt it and have to take an extended period off.

The pain is running on my right side from about my mid-back up my spine to my shoulder blade, and across the front into my rib cage. The muscles are sensitive to the touch. They almost feel bruised when I touch them. The pain seems worst ... well it hurts all of the time unless I am laying flat out. Sitting hurts, standing hurts... it all freaking hurts.

I guess the good part is, we are going to Hershey Park on Tuesday. At least I won't have to go again to get popped back into place after all of those wicked rides.

    Hope you're feeling better soon!! emoticon. I think I just did my rotator cuff in yesterday - - hurts worse today. We'd make good buddies, wouldn't we? LOL

    my son is a coaster lover, he would love to visit that park, as for your back, sounds like and remember im not a doctor, a pinched nerve maybe
but could be a pulled muscle
i sound like my own doctor trying to determine what is up with my foot....
told me today its a spur, but im not buying that being my problem til i see the podiatrist and just as u said, its gonna be at least 2 weeks or longer for an appt.
good luck, hope we can both do some forms of exercise and work with and thru the pain

I couldn't wait to hit the trail today. In fact, I had my bike loaded yesterday just so I didn't have to mess with it in the morning before I went to volunteer at the library.

I got home from work this morning, and I was exhausted. I didn't volunteer today. I will tomorrow tho. I just couldn't drag myself around today on 2 hours of sleep. Plus... I wanted to ride today, and there is no way I would be able to without resting.

My ride was great. I will admit, I had a little bit of a hard time getting in the groove, but once I found it, I was there! I pushed myself really hard.

I rode a total of 15 miles. I will admit the last five were hard. I was really getting tired.

My HRM said I burned 831 calories. I was pretty impressed by that. I worked my tookiss off!

I still haven't gotten the hang of taking pics of myself in a mirror. I am going to have to have some teenager teach me how to do it properly.

That is an awesome calorie burn, and impressive mileage too. emoticon

I would love to start biking, but I may try to get an indoor bike now and then move to outdoor next spring.

My bike got wet...

I have my bike loaded for tomorrow and it rained. In fact, it poured. I know my bike is made for that, I just don't like it to get wet. Plus, I have my little computer thingy that tracks my miles and speed... I think it should be ok though because it got caught in a down pour last week and it is fine.

    this is unrelated, but i hate gadgets that are so hard to program, i am 8 years behind the times, trying to figure out how to get free song downloads and then save them to my computer and load onto an mp3 player, or load them onto my micro sd card for my phone....its all giving me fits, i know how our great aunts and grandparents must have felt with any new technology!!! emoticon

Nectarines...

Every time I buy nectarines, they are rotten the next day. They can be hard as a rock, but the next day... they have soft spots all over them! I bought some at a roadside stand over the weekend, and one already had to be thrown away. I bought them on Saturday. I just want a nice nectarine. I don't think that is asking too much.

I worked until 7am then I had to be back to work by 5pm. Needless to say, exercise was put on the back burner today. It is alright though. I plan on hitting the gym tomorrow, and the bike trails Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I am just going to leave my bike strapped onto my rack. No one is going to steal it. That is what I like about where I live -- no one around :)

I plan on hitting it after I am done at the Library with my volunteer work. I am figuring I need to get done at the library at 4. I would like to be at the trail no later than 5 to start. It is starting to get darker earlier and I want to make sure I am not left in the dark since it is in the woods with no lights.

Friday we are going to a ball game. I am looking forward to it. I keep asking the boyfriend if he wants to go to Olive Garden for the Never Ending Pasta Bowl which he adores. Of course, I can't have that, nor do I want that. I want their Apricot Chicken and soup. I get a bowl of soup and the lunch portion of the chicken. Viola! I don't have to worry about cooking for 2 days! That is more than enough food for me to eat the next day for both lunch (soup) and dinner (chicken)

I don't really want to eat at the ballpark again. Last time, I got a hamburger and just ate it without the bun. I used the bun as my plate, and just broke pieces of the burger off and ate it. Not really the best thing for me, and honestly it wasn't even that spectacular. At least not $4 spectacular. I do sneak a few little snacks in my purse along though. Usually a 100 calorie pack of Almonds and a serving of sourdough pretzels. Also, maybe not the best, but, a lot better than what is offered. Thus why I would like to eat before we go to the ballpark.

    The small snacks sound like a great idea for the ballpark. And I love the soup at Olive Garden too...honestly, I'd rather get that and the salad (though the dressing needs to be light and on the side for me).
