I saw that tag line on a customer email, and thought it was pretty awesome.
Anyway, I am really sore. Laugh if you will, but I got my backside kicked by Richard Simmons! Seriously, my arms are sore - I can't wait to do my workout tomorrow. I really enjoy it!
I didn't get to ride my bike today. I got caught up in cooking and cleaning and more cleaning... so maybe I will get a chance to take a quick ride either before or after my Richard workout.
I looked at a website today and found a doctor in my area who performs the gastric bypass surgery. Right now, I qualify. It says you have to have a BMI of 40 and mine is 41.1. It is a really BIG decsion. I mean, I am commited to the lifestyle obviously, but there are so many other things about it that scare me. I really need to call the insurance company to see if it is something they cover, and if they do, what the qualifications for it are. It is a lot to think about. I would need to seriously discuss it with my Boyfriend and my Mother.
I have another Doctor appointment on the 29th to go over the results of my bloodwork. I guess we will see what happens there and what the next steps are going to be. I am really starting to get frustrated. I keep on trying however, in hopes that something will eventually give.
I think that is all for now, I may revisit this later

So, I watched the infomercial for INSANITY last night, and I was tired from watching it!
It is something I would like to try eventually, but from everything I have seen on TV, at this point I would most likely hurt myself. I am not saying that because the workout is hard, I am saying that because it requires a lot more coordination that I possess. This coming from the girl who spent a week on crutches from doing a Richard Simmons tape.
Speaking of which, I just TONE AND SWEAT(ed) with Richard and I feel awesome. I totally worked out in my nightgown and it was awesome! Leroy decided he wanted to workout with me, so he was jumping all over me as I was bustin-a-move. When I laid down to do the ab portion of the workout he jumped on my chest and started licking the sweat off of me... it was a very awkward moment between him and I.
Right now, I am going to jump in the shower and head out after to meet some friends - we are going to watch Harry Potter part II again, and then go out to dinner. I viewed the menu ahead of time, and will be having the Steak Salad, no french fries, no bread, dressing on the side. I may splurge and get a diet coke instead of water.
Looking forward to an awesome day!

So, I have decided to re-vamp my rewards system. I was going to start rewarding myself every 10 pounds, but considering it takes me 6 months to lose five, I am going to start rewarding myself every 5 pounds with a massage and every 10 pounds with something bigger.
225 - massage
215 - massage
210 - *was going to be a massage, but now I am not sure* maybe a facial?
205 - massage
200 - tattoo
Rewards for the next 50 pounds TBA
** goal weight** - brand new EVERYTHING!
I guess I could say my bike was a reward for losing 20 pounds, but honestly, I just really wanted a bike - I do know that it is time to get serious!

I mapped out an introductory bike route and I was excited to give it a shot today. Round trip, it is going to be about 9 miles. I thought I would give it a shot today. That was all I was thinking about last night when I went to bed. I was actually THAT excited! I woke up a little after 6 this morning, and it was raining. No big deal, I went back to sleep and finally decided to get up around 10 since a furry little alarm clock named Leroy said it was time to get up.
*Which I don't understand. He insists on getting me out of bed, but once I get up, he won't have anything to do with me*
It was overcast, but I still had hopes it would clear up. I made the old man and I pancakes for breakfast, and I was really looking forward to going biking. It started pouring down rain again. I figured I wouldn't be going today so I just went to the gym.
I did 20 mins on the elliptical, and 22 mins of the recumbent bike. My HRM gave me a calorie burn of about 400, which I think is pretty awesome. I really, and I mean REALLY pushed myself hard today. By the time I was done, my shirt and bra were soaked in sweat. My average heart rate was about 158 which is right on with the 85% zone. I think my max is 185 (ish) and 85% of that is 160 - so 158 is right in that zone. I was proud of myself for maintaining that rate for such a long period of time. 40 mins at the 85% mark is pretty darn good!
The garage called and the old man's truck was ready for pick up - we went and got it and then went to his parents house to drop of Nana's car that he had been borrowing, and also to pick up his bike. We went to dinner at Subway - originally I was going to make hamburgers, baked fries and salad, but we ran out of time, so we decided on Subway. I decided on a Steak and Cheese sub (which I usually don't get) but I hadn't eaten any lunch and worked out, I was STARVING!
I eat them pretty plain, steak, j-peppers, cheese - toasted (yes in that order) and it was pretty amazing.
When we got home, there was a buck in our yard. It was a nice size deer, but the rack was pretty small. About a 4 point. It was cool to stand at the door and watch it.
Then we took a bike ride to the church and back. I am starting to get the hang of the gears. Slowly - I still had to walk it up the hill, but I made it further than last time!
That is all for now

My co-worker bought me a bag of Twizlers yesterday. They are unopened in my desk drawer. I was able to resist. I don't know what to do with them. I don't want to give them to someone else, because they will just open them, and I will eat them. If I keep them in my drawer, then I have that temptation nagging at me all day long - but I have CONTROL over the situation. An opened bag is a whole different ball game. I didn't want to be rude, because my co-worker really thought they were doing something nice for me.
In other news, my Boyfriend and I are going to the Olive Garden tonight. I have fallen in love with their venetian apricot chicken. It is soooo awesome! It is also pretty decent on the calories, fat and carbs (as opposed to everything else on the OG menu)
Yes, I know the dish has a lot of sodium, however, that really isn't something I pay that much attention to. I did for a while, and it made no difference to my weight loss, so I stopped. My blood pressure is usually on the low side of normal, and even when it is "high" it is still in normal ranges. So no need really -
Anyway, I am in love with this dish and think it is awesome. I have found a Spark recipie for it, and can't wait to try it.
Of course, it is going to storm again, and while we need the rain, I just washed my Jeep... figures.
My knee still hurts from falling down the steps - and my foot.
I am hoping to be able to ride my bike tomorrow. I didn't get to ride it yesterday because I worked all day (7am-7pm) and by the time I got home and got dinner, it was dark out. I am thinking it wouldn't be a wise idea to ride my bike in the dark on our road since there are no lights and people drive like idiots. That would just be recipie for getting ran over. I won't get to ride tonight because I won't get off work until 7pm, then we are going out to dinner.
I did find a nice road to ride on. Granted, it is flat, but it isn't high traffic. Which is what I am looking for. Once the truck is fixed, we are going to hit Rails to Trails in our area. I think that will be awesome. I am excited.
I think that is all for now
