Saturday night my boyfriend and I stopped at DQ on the way home from the baseball game. Normally I get a small vanilla cone and eat some of it, but I decided to try a Lemon Meringue Pie blizzard. They have them in mini size, so I figured how bad could it be?
I ate most of it, not all of it, but most (about 2/3) I didn't push it, but still felt a little blah after eating it. Anyway, I came home and looked it up on their website to find out that little cup held almost 400 calories! I about fell over!!
Lesson totally learned on that one!
I will just stick with a plain cone from now on! Yes, ice cream really isn't something I should eat, but an occasional treat isn't going to kill me. It isn't like I eat it every day all day. Maybe once or twice a month?
I am still amazed that something that small "cost" that much.

I was up early today to make the 10:00 PC Fit class -- well, it was early for me. I usually get up at 7:30, but couldn't seem to make it out of bed until 8:40 or so. I decided to "skip" breakfast and workout, then eat when I came home. I also thought I would see how it worked out... That way, if I ate later I would be ravenous later on (more on that in a moment)
Class was awesome - we did a lot of great stuff. Coach Tyler's classes are awesome.
After class I went to the grocery store. My boyfriend likes Van-O Lunch crackers. I went to 4 different grocery stores and no one had them in stock. I found them at the Dollar General finally. It was a pain in the rump driving all around Blair County looking for lunch crackers.
I ate when I got home. Here it is about 2 1/2 hours after, and I am starving again. Our bariatric coordinator says that the body only gets hunger"signals" from the brain 4 times a day. I call shenanigans on that because I am starving. Ever since I started PC Fit, my body seems like a furnace with an open draft. I try to pick good, solid foods to keep me full, but sometimes it seems like I am bottomless.
I am not sure if I will eat before or after my morning PC Fit classes. I seemed to be fine either way, and am still hungry so...
I have to work all night - it is going to be long

1 cup of quinoa (dry)
1 cup black beans
2 cups sliced squash
2 cups cubed butternut squash
1 medium onion chopped
1/4 cup of parmesan cheese
1/2 cup 2% shredded cheddar cheese
prepare quinoa according to package directions
steam squash, onion, and carrot
mix veggies, quinoa, egg and parm cheese and beans
bake at 350 for appx 20 mins
remove from oven cover with shredded cheese and bake until cheese is melted
Sounds good right?
WRONG!!! It was the most horrible thing I have ever made. I packaged it up and sent it into work for the 2 human garbage disposals there. They ate it... ugh, NASTY stuff

I have been grazing a lot these past few days, and I am not impressed with myself. I am not 100% sure what my issue is, but it needs to stop now.
I tracked everything of course, and technically speaking I am not near the calories Spark says I need, but I know my own body, and if I continue to eat that much I will gain weight.
Seriously, what is wrong with me? Ugh! I need to go work it out at PC Fit in the morning. I think Coach Phyllis can put me back in the right mind set. I guess because when I weigh every morning, I am maintaining my weight, so I keep pushing my boundaries. I need to stop that and stay where I know it is "safe" - It only seems like this is an issue at work. Also, another issue is beverages with calories. I keep saying I need to stop, but I just can't bring myself to. Again, I only drink these on nights that I work. I don't usually get an iced coffee on my off days. Sometimes, but not often.
I guess I need to hot the lottery and quit my job. You know... for my health

I saw an internet meme that says
"I'd rather have Samuel L Jackson narrate my life. No offense Morgan Freeman, my life requires multiple uses of the word #&$(%^#@^"
It really made me laugh. Samuel L Jackson's character in Pulp Fiction is one of my all time favorite movie characters. Come to think of it, Pulp Fiction is one of my all time favorite movies.
Things have been going well. I just couldn't stop eating yesterday. My body was in over drive. I got up at 7:30 and had my overnight oatmeal before PC Fit. I like to eat that because it is "mild" and seems to digest well before my class. Class is at 10, and I have to have breakfast over with my 8:30. If I eat past that, it doesn't go well.
Class was pretty good. It was Coach Anthony. I like him, but his classes are not my favorite. I can't decide who I like best...
Tony - his workout focus more on strength and less on cardio. He conducts class at a rapid pace and doesn't give a lot of breathing room. He reminds me more of a drill Sargent
Paul - his classes are very difficult but fun. He is always coming up with interesting things that are super challenging, but also fun. I find that I am sorest after his class
Tyler - his classes are a great mix of cardio and strength. We usually do a series of exercises, then laps and repeat. I like his classes a lot, and I like him a lot because when I was struggling the one class he did the exercise with me to encourage me to keep pushing. That was awesome.
Anthony - His classes are good, but are not my favorite. I can't quite place why. I like him, he is super nice, and he knows his stuff, but there is just something I can't quite put my finger on. I mean, don't get me wrong, I still enjoy his class, but not as much as the other ones.
I still have to take Phyllis and Tiffany. I am hoping I can get myself excited enough to take Phyllis' 5:30 class tomorrow morning. I guess we will see how tired I am after working a 12 hour shift and only sleeping for about 6 hours.
