So the scale finally moved and in the right direction. Just two pounds but at least it is down!! Such a struggle this is. Went for breathing tests this week and they were worse than the last ones. Such a hard time breathing with anything physical. The real kicker is that this is all from second hand smoke.......I never smoked!!!! So am going to pulmonary rehab to see if they can help me get my stamina back and I know losing weight will help. So it is another beautiful day here in Massachusetts and I am keeping a positive attitude...the sunshine and warmth helps. Have a great day everyone and stay on track!!!

Two pounds is AWESOME! Be very proud! Do you have asthma or some kind of compromised lungs? I, too, was raised with a smoker (never smoked myself) and have lots of lung problems. If only they had known in the 1950s the harm that would come later.

So it is a cloudy day here today....I think the sun makes me feel better though I am still staying on course!! I feel like this journey is going to be a long one and it seems to be all I think about these days...try watching TV to get my mind on other things and all the commercials are about FOOD!!!!
Think maybe I should switch to ROKU and watch a movie with no commercials!!!. Hope you guys are having a better day ... Take care.

Well here it is another day to get through!! The sun is out off and on and it is 54 degrees!! I am hanging in there and hoping for some success this week. I am tracking every mouthful of food and have stayed within my calorie range since I started on 3/4/12. Something has to give sooner or later....I hope!!! Why does everything have to be such a battle????

Please keep up your good start and give it some time. Be patient, if you put the work in the results WILL come.

Hey, here I am again, still plugging away. Thanks for the suggestion Tony, maybe I should get weighed every two weeks!! Might help!!

I will keep trying but having breathing problems really curtails the exercise. Going for breathing test next week and then will be scheduled for pulmonary rehab!!! Today was a nice day overall sunny and cool. Guess that is enough rambling for now.

Started to think maybe if I blog I will be more successful. Stayed on track the whole first week and did not lose anything....very disappointing. This is week #2 and will continue trying. I really need to do this for my health. I have breathing problems and know that if I lose weight it will help me breathe better. This is no longer about vanity this is about getting back into my life and to a healthier state!!! If any of you have any suggestions for me please feel free to post them to me. I really do want to do this and be successful...

You may want to consider weighing yourself only every 2 weeks or once a month like I do. I tend to get discouraged easily so I don't handle the ups and downs very well.
If you are eating the right thing, using the food tracker and getting some exercise in the results will come. Feel good about the fact that you are making better choices.

Good luck & emoticon
