Nice Morning

It was cold but refreshing on my morning run. It was good to get out and move this morning. It was about 16 degrees F when I left the house this morning. I am so thankful for cold weather gear that makes it possible for me to endure the bitter cold.

  


A Full Day

After an early morning run (left the house at 5:40 a.m.) we had a long day at work where we discussed some important issues and worked in teams to get some things done. Finally left at about 6 p.m. and then went to watch our youngest daughter in gymnastics class. It's nice to finally be home. Hopefully, tomorrow won't be quite as full of activity.

Cold this morning...

It was more than a little chilly on my 6 a.m. run this morning. Whoever invented this thermal running gear deserves a nobel prize. Only the exposed areas felt the chill this morning. It was good to get out and get some miles in this morning.

In fact, I actually started to feel warm due to all the stuff I was wearing. Hopfully, I am starting to get back to where I was before I had to take a week off.

Way to go on getting out in the cold at 6 am. I am definately not a morning person nor do I tolerate the cold well - kudos to you!

    I agreed! The cold weather gear is amazing stuff. It makes running the chilly MO air so much easier. I couldn't live without mine.

Back on track

It looks like the weather is going to cooperate with me getting back on track. Had a nice run this afternoon, and hoping to get a long run in this week.

    I'm staying indoors until the temp gets above 65. I can't stand cold weather. Been on the treadmill at the gym for the last couple of months.

    emoticon, glad you were able to get your running in.

I have a treadmill that I use for my indoor walks, so other than walking the dogs it doesn't affect my walking, which was a 30 minute walk the other night in 15 degree weather and 5 inches of snow on the ground. Not sure if I did more walking or sliding on that one.

Curves in Waynesville closes when the local school closes due to weather which is frustrating. I enjoy going but their hours could be much improved.

Snowed out

The weather was warm enough to run this morning, however, the slick streets would have made such an activity rather dangerous. Hopefully, things can settle down weather wise, so that I can get focused on my training. Unless things change soon, I will probably not be able to be ready for a marathon in early April.
