She Made It!!

Last night after evening worship, my wife took our daughter over to her friend's house for a sleepover with some other friends. Since our move from our house in Jeff City where we lived for 8 years, Olivia has had some trouble staying away from home overnight. Hopefully, things seem to be settling down for her. She has already made several friends both at school and at church.

We didn't receive a phone call last night, so it looks like she made it through the night. I am sure that she had a great time with some of her friends. Can't wait to hear about it when i get home tonight.

Slumber Party for Olivia

Today was an enjoyable time of worship at church this morning. Now we're relaxing a little bit before a busy evening with worship and a monthly business meeting to follow. Then our youngest goes to a friends house for a slumber party. Hopefully, she is able to stay there all night.

Sleeping in a Little

Today it was nice to sleep in a little, at least until our dogs got us up. i never thought that i would think of 7:15 a.m. as sleeping in, but it works for us. After breakfast, i made it out for a nice run this morning, and am looking forward to a lazy afternoon.

Pushing a Little Farther

Enjoyed my longest run yet in Centralia today. I was able to zig-zag around enough to get in 11.5 miles this morning. The weather was near perfect and i felt like i could have gone further.

I am really enjoying pushing the distances up a little each week.

Busy day

Today started rather busy. It was good to see an old friend from my former place of employment. He lives about fifteen miles from Centralia, but goes to a dentist here in town. Jim is a big part of the reason as to how i am able to run as far as i do. he taught me several helpful training tips that have helped me extend my distance to where i was able to complete my first half-marathon last Spring.

After our time together i headed to the hospital to visit a couple of folks who are heading into surgery and now waiting on spending some time with three Weblos later this afternoon.
