This morning i am up and ready to get after it. We have meetings all day. Yesterday's time together was profitable. Hopefully, God has something even more amazing in store for us today.

Hanging out in Music City

Monday, February 06, 2012

I am in Nashville tonight for a meeting with some of my favorite people. We are developing disciple-making strategies for our churches. It's a great time of networking and encouragement.

Hope you're having a great Monday.

Blessings.

Super Bowl Party

Sunday, February 05, 2012

Tonight's Super Bowl party was a success. We had over eighty folks in attendance and everyone seemed to have a great time getting together. It was good to see some people from church in a more relaxed envrironment.

Hopefully, you enjoyed your Sunday.

Nearing the End

Saturday, February 04, 2012

Tonight is the beginning of the end of one of the longest rivalries in college sports. Mizzou and Kansas will play their last conference game in Columbia tonight in front of the usual sold-out crown at Mizzou arena. The teams will then play again later this month in Lawrence. Other than meeting in the conference tourney, this might well be the end of rivalry that extends to Phog Allen's first game against his alma mater back in the early 1900's.

A lot of the blame for the end of this rivalry has been placed upon the leadership at MU. While some of this criticism is fair, the bigger and more glaring issue is the changing landscape of college athletics. Sports at these institutions has become more and more about money than anything else.

I will not spend a lot of time giving my humble opinion on this matter. I am simply stating my own disappointment that this rivalry is coming to an end.

Oh well, might as well enjoy it while it lasts.

Rambling thoughts

Friday, February 03, 2012

After a nice long morning run, my wife and i headed to Columbia, Mo to get some things for the dogs. Since their haircuts, the cold weather has been rough on them. Of course, we can't stand to see them shaking so, we went out and solved the problem.

It's kind of quiet around the house today. we are looking forward to having our oldest daughter home for the weekend in just a few hours.

Once our youngest arrives home from school, we will have the entire family back in the house for the weekend.

Hope your Friday is going well.

Blessings
