After going to the doctor a few days ago, the sore on my upper thigh was still not healing, so i went back to the doctor again. It seems that i don't have a bug or spider bite, but now i have a staph infection. Yuck!!! They put me on some stronger anti-biotics and gave me some helpful advice. i won't go into the gorey details, but it was a painful experience.

They wanted me to try to allow the anti-biotics to reduce the swelling of the infection, rather than having to drain it. For the first time in a while it is actually starting to feel a little better.

I hope that this stuff is working.

Encouraging News

Last night we received an encouraging phone call from a church. Please pray for our family as we enter the next stage of dialogue with a church in central MO that wants me to consider being their senior Pastor.

Not many details to discuss yet, but we would greatly appreciate your prayers.

Running in the Dark

My wife and I headed out for our run in the dark this morning. Despite being a little more muggy than usual, the run went pretty well. I am still amazed at the progress she has been making these past several months. Her unconquerable spirit and attitude are just two of the many reasons why I love her.

Good for you! All of my running is in the dark, it is too hot here when the sun is up, and then in the winter it is dark when I'm not at the office. It is so cool to hear that you run together. Report Inappropriate Comment

Better Already

After my appointment yesterday, the doctor gave me a prescription for an anti-biotic to help with my insect or spider bite. It's amazing how much difference a day can make. The swelling has started to go down, and the pain is not as persistent.

Finally Giving In

I finally gave in and went to the doctor this morning. It seems that i have been victimized by either a bug or spider bite in my posterior. After the examination the doctor gave me a prescription for some antibiotics that will hopefully, bring an end to the annoying pain and general discomfort that this little spot has caused over the past few days.

It's amazing how helpful such medication can be. I hope that your Monday is going well, and you haven't had any encounters with any of our multi-legged friends.
