Yes!!!

As I got out of bed this morning, I was reminded of the One Who got out of the grave nearly 2,000 years ago. Today is the day that believers around the world remember that the borrowed tomb where Jesus' body was lain was only used for the weekend.

No matter what we face in life, we can be assured that He understands and has empowered us to live beyond our means.

Praise God for His victory over sin and death.

Disappointing News

Yesterday was another frustrating day in our search for our next place of service. Yesterday evening, I received a call from a search committee chairman of a church where i was one of the final candidates (4 out of 160). Evidently I am once again on the outside looking in. Please pray for my attitude in this process. I am growing increasingly frustrated.

Lots of big prayers. There is already a plan in place. Just sit back and relax and see where He leads you. Our pastor's last Sunday at our little church is tomorrow. It is very sad and he will be missed but we need to trust God has a plan for our pastor and for our church. Hopefully we find a replacement soon too. Blessing on you and your family. Happy Easter! I'll keep you in my prayers. And know that God has just the place where you can serve him best, but he may also need you exactly where you are right now. He may also still be preparing your for your next place of service, or preparing the place for you. There are so many variables because He works in mysterious ways, but it will all work out. I have always found it strange that we name this day, "Good Friday", especially in light of what took place on this day nearly 2,000 years ago. However, the longer I am His child the more keenly I am aware of just how amazing this sacrifice for me truly is. I know that there are some who refuse to believe it, or discount the need of it. However, the more I see the depravity of humanity, the more I am reminded of just how desperate we are for a Savior.

I for one am indebted beyond measure for the gift that was given to me on this day. Thank you, Jesus, for the cross.

Fake Friday

It was another cool morning for a run today. The temp was at about 40 degrees F, which is a little cooler than we were experiencing at the beginning of the week. Since I have tomorrow off as a part of the Easter weekend, I am looking forward to spending the time with my family and hopefully getting to sleep in a little. Of course, on Sunday we'll head to Open Door where I am serving as interim pastor and spend some time in worship and fellowship with some precious brothers and sisters in Christ.

Hopefully, you have some great plans for the Easter weekend.

Changing Weather

It was rather chilly outside for my run this morning. After getting used to temps in the 50's and 60's the past few days, 40 degrees was a little colder than what I have been used to. However, I was able to get in a good run this morning and doing it in near record time for me.
