Well here we are a few days away from my first week of the challenge for this month. I have been doing surprisingly well this time, I seem to be very happy with the few changes I made to help me along, all I did, was make sure my menu for the day is in place the day before so there will be no extras finding their way into the diet.I've added 30 min exercise to my day, also make sure I drink all my water.I am trying to stay very positive and upbeat, I really want to lose some more weight before Christmas.
The fact that my Hubby decided to join me in the quest to lose some weight has made it even easier, he wants to take 20 pounds off, so I don't have to endure all his snacking, and sweets around the house lol!
I was so used to weighing in on Monday I jumped on the scale to a 1 lb loss,three days before my week is up, so I hope for a few more ounces by Wednesday.
I just hope I remain as diligent with my healthy living, for the rest of the challenge, I'm sure I will, I seem to have the mind set this time. Feeling pretty good about things. Elaine

I have been having a time trying to stay on track on the week ends as you all know by now, and I tend to agonize over it, well I've decided to look at things in a new light, and look at the positive side of things.
I eat healthy five days a week and I exercise at least 6 days a week, so I have come a long way, I didn't do any of this before Spark. I am acutely aware of the good foods I eat, I'm feeling so much better, my diabetes is under better control, so I should be happy with all this, that's a lot of changes in a short period of time, the week ends will be something I just have to try a little harder to conquer, so I will stop agonizing over this and carry on with all the good things I have achieved, a 27 lb weight loss so far, better health, meeting a lot of wonderful Spark people. Life is good and it will continue to get better.
Be happy with all the goals you achieve, and don't try to make things so tough you will just stop all together, things will fall in place for you, just give it some time.

Here it is Sunday, a whole week has passed, I didn't do as well as I thought I would, had a few food breakdowns, don't know why I seem to have wavered so much.
Lisa and I are starting a challenge between the two of us from now til the end of october, maybe that's what I need to keep me on the straight and narrow! We will see!!!
Tomorrow is my weigh in day, hopefully I didn't mess things up too much and I will show a loss, if not I will try even harder next week! I seem to be building a bit more resolve about diet and exercise, one step at a time, it can't all be done in a snap.

I am not new to Spark, I am here on a second journey to lose 60 lbs, I already lost 27 with Spark the first time around. I left for personal reasons, but missed being a part of Spark I rejoined with a new user name and a fresh start.
Today is day 1 of this journey, wish me luck, I will need it to remain focused and positive.
