I know how i got here and I am very pleased!

How did I get here? I acted , and tried to be a happy go lucky , helpful person for a few months and after a while the act turned into reality !!

I am a positive person now!

I help others and treat others with respect and dignity!

I always thought somewhere in the back of my mind if I did too much for others it would take away something from me...

Well I was wrong because----
I feel better and get such great satisfaction from helping and being kind to others IT ROCKS!!

It is day 46 of my NEW PLAN and all is going great ??? YES !


1) eating right? Yes !

2)calories in healthy range? Yes !

3)exercise: ?started feeling sick today think I got my kids cold 3.92 miles total for the day.

calories burned walking alone ? 739
calories eaten 1480

4) blog for motivation? Check !

5) read other blogs and posts for extra motivation? Check !

6) weight loss-not required but nice to see--? gained .4 pound .
yesterday I was at 281.2 today I am at 281.6
One of those noisey days
7 day lost 2.8 pounds .
38 day start 295.8 loss 14.2 pounds-

7) Did I get 7 hours of sleep last night? Yes 8 !!

8) How do I feel about my progress... scale 1 to 10 ? 10

    Being positive is the only way to go........... helping others always makes me feel so good inside...... So I know what you mean........ We have to get out there and live each day to the fullest..... and your doing exactly that Chris.. emoticon

You are so right. Focusing on a certain behavior does become habit and we find ourselves actually feeling that way. So if I am down and continue to tell myself this for days on end, I become a drag to be around. So smile! Be happy! and spread the cheer! Today I am happy! How bout you??

Day 45 This Turtle keeps on moving down the chart

Every week I keep going down the chart as much as I would love to see my weight all off TODAY , I know it takes time. So I will turtle on along....

I am still working on my stress issues and have most all of them dealt with , my oldest son loves to start issues with his sister and brother 1st thing in the morning. This cause me stress and today I snapped grrrr. I expressed to him my issues with his morning attitude and how it stresses me out ..every morning... Hopefully tomorrow morning he will turn it down a notch.

It is day 45 of my NEW PLAN and all is going great ??? OK !


1) eating right? Yes !

2)calories in healthy range? Yes !

3)exercise: ? 9.59 miles . 10 strength training exercises.

calories burned walking alone ? 1806
calories eaten 1731

4) blog for motivation? Check !

5) read other blogs and posts for extra motivation? Check !

6) weight loss-not required but nice to see--? gained 1 pound .

    Kids! We love them to death but boy can they get to us!! Taking the time to explain how it makes you feel is an excellent way to deal with such stress. Take a deep breath....he will understand eventually. That one pound can just be hydration or stress. Don't fret much about it. You are doing a great job! Keep it up!

    You are doing a good job. It doens't necessarily mean anything if you are up a bit...I've had weeks like that and then still been down at my actual weigh-in day/time. Stress doesn't help, though! Hey, my turtle is still jealous of your turtle! Keep up the good work! emoticon emoticon

I weighed in this morning and almost picked up my scale and kissed it!!

I was positive about the whole thing ready for a slight gain.. I mean shoot i had just broken my 4 day plateau yesterday and was ready to see a slight gain.

Especially since I went out of my way to rest up yesterday and walk as little as possible. No exercise was my goal and I did it pretty well.

WHO WOULDA THUNK IT!!!

I worked but booty off for 5 days trying to break a plateau....
Got so sore I decided I needed a break and then I lose more!!!

I plan on taking a day of rest (I always knew to rest every few days just wanted to lose faster) no matter every Friday!

It is day 44 of my NEW PLAN and all is going great ??? Yes !

2)calories in healthy range? Yes !

3)exercise: ? 6 miles .

calories burned walking alone ? 1135
calories eaten 1820

4) blog for motivation? Check !

5) read other blogs and posts for extra motivation? Check !

6) weight loss-not required but nice to see--? lost 3.2 pounds !!
yesterday I was at 283.4 today I am at 280.2 !
The day of no workouts paid off !
7 day lost 6.2 pounds .
37 day start 295.8 loss 15.6 pounds-

7) Did I get 7 hours of sleep last night? Yes 7.5 !!

8) How do I feel about my progress... scale 1 to 10 ? 10

    Hey, Chris, thanks for friending me! I did you, too.

Looks like you're doing great, but I'd get too frustrated weighing every day. Too much fluctuation. Maybe it's my age or something.

Anyway, dear, you seem like you're doing great! And we all have lazy days where we don't exercise much. SP even recommends 1-2 days off a week from fitness to let our bodies rest.

You have the kind of weekend you prefer...and enjoy this ride! emoticon

I finally figured out how to lose weight!!!

Couldn't sleep so I read some blogs ,
I noticed that just about every single person who is losing weight or on the track to losing big or who has reached a big goal in their journey had one thing in common.

No they were not all size 3 x or 5x Either !!

They were all POSITIVE !!

OK How does being POSITIVE help Me to lose weight?

--- You have a slip up and your not positive what happens?----

You don't stop after one bite or 2 you keep going until the whole thing is gone.
Then you allow guilt to ride you down and you feel bad for days in guilt and self loathing....
A few days like this and you finally give up and gain back the three pounds you just lost and one more for good measure....

--If you were allowing positive thinking to lead the way...----

You recognize that your slipping and think of all the reasons not too slip!

You go ahead and take a bite or two and... STOP.

You do not allow GUILT to set in as YOUR in control not hunger not GUILT but you and

YOUR POSITIVE ATTITUDE!!!!!!!

I know it has and is working for me !
The more it works the more Positive I become.

As the movie , "What About Bob" , States...

One victory for me right now over appetite is all I need , tomorrow I will Baby step it through tomorrows problems then.

STAY POSITIVE !!!!!!

    You are absolutely right Chris! It is all about being positive and knowing that it is not the end because you took one cookie or a bite of cake. Sometimes you need to indulge but just for a second. Portion control is much more important than abstinence in some cases. I really enjoyed your blog and attitude.

    Great realization! I say the key to weight loss -- or anything, for that matter is to learn the art of recovery. It's all about self-correcting, and readjusting. I would add to that -- stay in the moment. Don't get so far out ahead of yourself with planning your future losses that you don't appreciate what you've accomplished TODAY.

Plateau Smat Toe ! Day 42 and I wake up to a broken ...

PLATEAU !! I broke my 1st Plateau since starting my New Life Plan. It was 4 days of the exact same weight. Today I weighed in exactly 1 pound lighter !! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

It is day 42 of my NEW PLAN and all is going great ??? Yes !


1) eating right? Yes !

2)calories in healthy range? Yes !

3)exercise: ? Will add later ,going to try to take it easy and rest my calfs they are sore . Edit : I was able to relax all day and got only 2.58 miles in today, I was so tempted to exercise many times too lol.

calories burned walking alone ? 489
calories eaten 1835

4) blog for motivation? Check !

5) read other blogs and posts for extra motivation? Check !

6) weight loss-not required but nice to see--? lost 1 pounds !!
yesterday I was at 284.4 today I am at 283.4 4 day plateau broken!
The extra workouts paid off !
7 day lost 2.8 pounds .
37 day start 295.8 loss 12.4 pounds-

7) Did I get 7 hours of sleep last night? Yes 8.5 !!
