I guess I somehow lost those first 6 lbs too fast, because now either my pancreas or liver is aggravating me again. I remember when I lost the 65 lbs the first time around I got this bloated feeling under the left side of my ribs in front. It was either my liver or pancreas. Since the fullness remained for several years, I paid it no mind, but was still miserable. Shortly thereafter, I was diagnosed w/ gallstones (even though I had NO PAIN like everyone else does) so I cleansed w/ juices as an alternative to having it removed. A week later, I was in worse shape (probably from the fruit juice cleanse) and returned to the doctor, who diagnosed me w/ Type II Diabetes. I was put on the 3 diabetic meds (Metformin, Glimeperide, & Lysinopryl), which helped considerably - I could now stay awake & my muscles no longer hurt & my skin no longer burnt & itched & my tongue stopped burning, whereas before I was sleeping & hurting almost all day & all night. I only got the full bloated feeling occasionally, but now it's back again. Going to try a few food experiments & see if I can relieve it. If not, I'll see about getting an appointment w/ a gastroenteroligist. Hope it's something fixable - without surgery - and not a problem w/ my pancreas. My liver I can fix w/ Milkthistle. I read articles on here & by doing the SparkPeople Web Search and learned that losing weight too fast can cause gallstones which can inflame the gall bladder, which in turn can inflame & disrupt the pancreas. I wish I had read the articles sooner. So everyone, PLEASE, take Spark People's advice about losing ONLY ONE POUND per week - they know what they are talking about. It is NOT worth the new health problems. Oh, well. Prayers requested. Thanks all.

Went to Zumba last night w/ my daughter & some of the other people in the community. Had a great time, but my rythym disappeared sometime in the last decade, lol. I have a WII Zumba disc one of my other daughters got me for Christmas - I have used it several times, but still can't do both the arm & leg movements at the same time. So I've decided to get most of my Zumba here at home, doing things the way I can do it, then join them all one night a week for the companionship & support & the weigh-in. We have a fairly large group of gals who are on a fitness trek. The final weigh-in is at the end of March. Our 1st weigh-in was the 1st of January. Whoever loses the most weight by then will win $300. That will go far in buying a new wardrobe. Everyone have a healthy happy day today.

Slow at losing weight right now, but after taking measurements this evening, I found that I had lost one inch from my upper arms, one inch from my calves, one inch from my thighs, one inch from my hips, and one inch from waist - since January 1st. Love it! OK - I CAN KEEP IT UP & I WILL KEEP IT UP!

Feeling great. Almost everyday I've been back, I have had a very bloated feeling under my ribs. I have only had 5 cups of water so far today, but also ate differently today. Every diet I've seen tells you to eat cereal for breakfast, so I did all of the other days - either oatmeal or cheerios. Well, today, I decided to eat an egg cooked in a little butter w/ 2 vegetable fiber toast, 1 small potato sautee'd w/butter & onions, & a glass of lite cranberry raspberry juice. Then for lunch, I had 2 of the plain frozen corn tortillas baked in oven till crisp, then spread a total of abt 1/4 cup of refried beans on them (total), sprinkled abt 1/4 cup shredded Mexican Blend cheese on & baked until cheese melted, then topped w/ shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, choped onions, & 1 pkg of taco bell hot sauce on each. I also had about 8 tortilla rounds dipped in a little (abt 1 Tbsp total) of Pace Picante Sauce. I had about 3 oz of coca cola classic. Then for supper I had a browned 4.25 oz boneless sirloin pork chop cooked in abt 1/4 c blackberry wine, chopped onions, 1 tsp mustard, salt/pepper to taste, 1 tsp butter, Johnny's Seasoning salt, & 1 Tbsp of Kikoman Teryaki Sauce (all ingredients except pork was for whole pan of 5 chops). Adde to that was 2 whole wheat bread slices brushed w/ mixture of olive oil/butter/garlic powder & garlic salt then grilled on griddle. Top that off w/ about 1.25 cups of brussell sprouts drizzled w/ tinsy bit of butter & Johnny's Seasoning salt before steaming. Add another 3 oz of coca cola classic. I came it at only 986 calories, under the sodium level, and within all other ranges - leaving me with calories & carbs to have a fruit mix tonight or a cup of ice cream w/ razzle berry sauce (a mixture of blackberries, strawberries, loganberries orginally meant to be homemade jam, but too runny for it but great for breakfast syrup & for sundaes). I DO NOT FEEL STUFFED OR BLOATED OR UNCOMFORTABLE IN ANY WAY AT ALL. WOO HOO!
